    Just fine

    rating06 May 2026

Well I guess it's good I didn't have time to read reviews before I booked this place. We had a major screw up with our flight and needed to stay in Toulouse another night. Since the Hotel Heliot where we were at the start of the trip was booked, I quickly found this for a fairly good price. We enjoyed staying here in our room for 3 people, so it was nice having extra space. The bathroom was kind of fun looking with the arches and different rooms. But why was there no door? Who knows, there was a door by the bedroom to the entry/bathroom area so I guess they think that's enough. I didn't notice any dirt or mold as some others mentioned. You could barely notice the tiny TV but we were barely in the room. The front desk people weren't overly friendly, but the lobby was welcoming and the location was perfect with the Victor Hugo market right across the street so no reason to pay for breakfast there.

    ok central hotel

    rating30 Jan 2024

This is a very centrally located hotel, off the place capitole. It's OK to lay your head down, and the staff were lovely and friendly. The rooms are in real need of modernisation. The bathroom in particular had been poorly done, with old plumbing sticking out of the walls and a bodge job done around the shower tap, with polyfilla roughly filling the gap around the tap and the tiles. The room was lit only by a LED strip around the ceiling, and two very old cheap bedside lights and cheap flimsy clear perspex furniture (bedside table and desk) that I think were from the early 2000s. Not somewhere you'd want to spend any time in. As I was in Toulouse for work, I didn't spend much time in the room, so it was OK.Breakfast was your standard French choice of croissant and baguette + confiture or nutella, plus some boiled eggs and yoghurt and cereal. Coffee from the machine.

Liked the staff, location and breakfast

We chose this hotel for its central location and nearness to a subway stop. The clerks at reception were very helpful each time we interacted with them. Our room was on the third floor, but they have a tiny elevator (fits 2 people with luggage) if you don’t want to take the stairs. The room had sufficient space for our luggage and was very quiet. The shower was very small with a shower curtain that was too short so we had to be very careful when showering. There were no wash cloths provided (fairly typical in France) and the bed only had a duvet (no top sheet) so it got overly warm when you covered up. We ate breakfast at the hotel (9 Euros) and it was fairly simple but had enough options to be hearty. Each place setting was set with a croissant and large piece of crusty bread. There were butter, jellies, caramel, and Nutella as well as two cheeses and prosciutto along with fresh fruit, boiled eggs, yogurt, and cereal. The coffee machine offered several coffee choices as well as hot water (for tea). The receptionist allowed us to store our luggage in a back room for about 5 hours after we checked out.

    Such a dump....

    rating19 Oct 2022

The location in the city is great and the breakfast was a pleasant surprise. But the rooms are a nightmare. I noticed the bath water running yellow. The bottom of the tub was white so it was very noticeable. I plugged the tub to keep the water from draining and called the front desk. He said the water shouldn’t be yellow and moved me to another room. Before he left I asked could we run the tub and check the water color. And we did.... same situation yellow water....but he said it is “less yellow”...it’s just “some rust”. No rust is orange/brown this was yellow. He did give me a bottle of water for the night. Oh well... just don’t drain out of the faucet I guess.

    Excellent location but small room

    rating30 Dec 2019

This hotel is very well placed in a small side street off a main road in the centre of the city. Place du Capitole is a pleasant stroll away for drinks or breakfast "en terrace". The staff are enthusiastic and very helpful. The only drawback is the size of the room. We were upgraded and still had trouble. Difficult to get 2 people with 2 suitcases in. The shower cubicle was smaller than some phone boxes and could have been a little better looked after. On the whole, if you just want a place to lay your head for a night then it is extremely good value for money and conveniently located close to 2 Metro stations and a 15 minute easy walk to the Matabiau train station. Taller or larger than average people might find it a bit of a squeeze.
