Avoid this hotel, it should be closed for urgent renovations

    rating14 Apr 2026

I’m surprised that there aren’t any more bad reviews. The buildings are falling to pieces, lightbulbs inside the pool are dangling from their sockets, paint is peeling and bubbling and cracking everywhere, there’s even big spots of mold on the walls and ceiling in the dining room, right over the service counter. We had reserved one of their higher floor « deluxe » suites, which ended up being moldy and dirty. After seeing the general state of the place we didn’t dare take the elevator and stuck to the stairs out of safety concerns. Avoid that place, seriously. Our goal was to pleasantly extend our stay in Tahiti… but we couldn’t wait to leave that place. Staff is kind and sweet, but that’s the only positive thing we noticed.

    A taste of Paradise

    rating13 Apr 2026

Booked for 3 days prior to joining a cruise. We had a bed and breakfast option. After a journey of over 24 hours we finally made it. had read the mixed and had an open mind.We had a suite on the 5th floor overlooking the pool and beach. Large bedroom, living room, bathroom, a second separate toilet and a large balcony with 2 sunbeds, 2 chairs and a table. The place was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable and we had no problems sleeping. The pool was quite large and varied in depth in places. It was never packed and perfect for a spot of swimming or just floating around. The breakfast was buffet style although there was an egg station where I ordered an omelette (ham, cheese and onion) it was perfectly cooked. She would also do pancakes. There was plenty of choice for breakfast - cold meats, cheese, yoghurts, fruit as well as scrambled eggs and sausages (plus the aforementioned omelettes). Along with the coffee and juice I had plenty of choice. As the hotel was a bit secluded we eat our evening meals at the hotel as well. There seemed to be fairly wide choice and we thought the food tasty and plentiful although not cheap but not exorbitant. All the staff were very friendly and cheerful. Their English was certainly better than my French (the main language there). The beach was a very short walk from the pool and is black volcanic sand. The beach was never crowded and made for a pleasant walk, paddle or swim.Overall the hotel was a bit dated and needed a bit of attention, although there was some work being done while we were there. As mentioned by others there were some small tiles missing from the pool but it did not affect using it.We both agreed that the pros definitely outweighed the few cons and we both agreed if we should ever come back we would stay here again.I cannot comment on the price of the hotel as it was part of a overall package that included 3 hotels, a cruise as well as flights. The staff definitely lifted the hotel and we found them all a real bonus.

    Skip the Dinner Buffet

    rating10 Apr 2026

I had very low expectations for a resort buffet, but this was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food was extremely disappointing across the board. Most of the dishes looked like they had been sitting out far too long, and nothing tasted fresh. The hot items were lukewarm and lacked flavor, and even the “local” options — which I was most excited to try — were underwhelming and poorly prepared. I ended up eating plain rice because it was the only thing that felt remotely safe and edible. For the price, this was completely unacceptable. The quality of the food did not come close to matching the setting or the expectations for a resort in Tahiti. The show itself was enjoyable, but the buffet was truly awful and took away from the overall experience. I would strongly recommend skipping the dinner portion and just coming for the performance if possible.

    No negatives from us!

    rating08 Mar 2026

We were a little nervous about staying here having read some negative reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. Our room overlooking the ocean was large, clean and in good condition with a massive balcony with table and chairs and two sun beds. The food was fine too and we had a lovely meal last night with fresh fish cooked beautifully and the drinks prices were reasonable too. The staff were really friendly and helpful. All in all a great two night stay. It's a beautiful setting and we could find nothing to complain about. Perhaps there might not be enough to do if you stayed longer but we enjoyed it. No negatives from us!

Only place to stay in Papeete!

    rating20 Feb 2026

So glad I discovered this hotel in 2022 that I’ve returned twice since for up to a month and can’t imagine staying elsewhere in Papeete. A short 15 minute drive from the pier with onsite parking, tucked away on the beautiful black sand Matavai Bay, every cell in my body relaxes when I arrive here. Crashing waves lull me to sleep nightly. Spectacular views of Mo’orea with a parade of boats and water activities from the room balconies daily. Comfortable, clean rooms with dreamy mattresses. The most beautiful pool I’ve ever experienced. Best sunset views on the island. Warm, efficient, helpful staff throughout the property (shout out to Tehei at front desk who can make anything you need happen). Delicious food and great drinks in the restaurant and bar, including a generous happy hour. Comfortable spa with best body scrub I’ve ever had. String of thoughtful, quality shops onsite with great souvenir options, especially the chocolate shop. Thursday nights feature an excellent Marquesan show with fabulous Polynesian buffet. If you’re looking for authentically Polynesian comfort, this is it!
