    Misleading Photos

    The photos are completely misleading. In real life, this place is much, much worse than what’s shown online. From the moment I arrived, I honestly felt unsafe the entire time.The room seemed dirty, and the whole property looked rundown and neglected. Everything felt “dodgy,” and nothing matched the expectations created by the listing photos.To be fair, it is quite cheap — but that still doesn’t excuse the condition. I’m honestly not sure how this place is even allowed to still be open.

    Bedbugs!

    Bedbugs!! And when I discovered them, the reception was closed (10 p.m.) and did not open again until 12:10 p.m. So I slept on the floor, and then I had breakfast at a local bakery while waiting for asking for a complete refund. Which I got.I should have returned to the reception and checked out as soon as I felt the intense smell in the stairways, or at least when I spotted the plastic bag with empty (?) pizza boxes outside the next room.

    I firmly Not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel! Why it is opened for the poor guests , I don’t get. it’s extremely dirty ! stinky! And it’s not safe for your health to stay here. I did not expect such dirtiness in Germany( I want notify desinfection center of Aachen to come and check in on dangerous Mikrobs. I was cheated they would clean at least my room but after moving in and paying I discovered awful condition in bathroom shower. I have pics and videos, I cleaned it myself , 🤮to take a shower.I also clean a bed myself and doors all in spot! Also no any plug near the bed! Why I m still here? Because I was operated on my leg and arms and I cannot carry heavy bags to another hotel! Also,I have to struggle every day with keys,which is always stuck and so I cannot go out in time! My holiday is spoilt!((😢😢😢I ve been asked for this hell 700 for and was discounted till 650 eu!!

    Very basic rooms. The rooms and bathrooms were tiny. The beds were relatively comfortable but facilities were poor. The photos on the website were cleverly deceptive and did not give a true picture of the shabby reality. We booked a double room and were given a twin. On the road side the noise was too great to have the window open but with no air conditioning the rooms were unbearably stuffy. The garage was not suitable for anything other than a tiny car, but there was a carpark nearby. Not a very salubrious part of the town.

    We booed this hotel on October 30, 2019 and pre-paid the room. For a reason we don't know we had to pay a deposit at check in, however at check out his was not returned to us. We are tidy guests and the was no minibar in the room, so no reason to withhold the deposit. We believe that the hotel reception staff is a crook and we will file a complaint with the police in Aachen. SR_Robinson_1, Manager at Hotel Krone, responded to this review We would like to thank you for your stay with us and for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are sorry to read that there were some misunderstandings during your stay and would like to take the chance to apologize for any inconvenience these may have caused. Due to the limited numbers of rooms available we can only accept guaranteed reservations, which is why we ask our guests for credit card details upon booking through all reservation channels. By our hotel's policy we do not charge a credit card prior to arrival, but we do pre-authorize all credit cards with the total accommodation charge. In other words, the amount is only reserved / blocked, but not yet charged. This may affect the overall spending limit of the crad, based on the issuing bank. At the time of check out guests can choose their method of payment. If they do not use the same card that was used to guarantee their booking the pre-authorization will be released automatically after 7-10 business days. We ask for your kind understanding that for the guest’s own security payment via credit card is only legally binding with the card holder’s signature.
