    Stayed one night in transit. Hotel is in a nice location: on the entrance side an old quarry and on the other side beautiful views due to the high location of the hotel. There is a chicken restaurant on the ground floor in the property. Beautiful family room with huge bathroom. Nice beds. No reception, info to get to the room received digitally via the message box of the booking site. Disadvantage is that there are no coffee / tea facilities in the room, but this is expensive for €2 per cup payment to obtain in the hallway. Breakfast was fine.     The hotel is a fantastic place to unwind and relax and the view from the terrace is amazing especially at sunset and the staff are 10 Out or 10 the food is of good quality and value The room is comfortable and as every thing you need for your stay comfortable bed and amazingly clean

    We would like to write a review on hospitality and service.More than 5 months before we would actually arrive, for one night, a reservation made! Received a cordial confirmation before the scheduled date. Unfortunately, we had to push the date back one day. That wasn't a problem either. On the scheduled date there appeared to be an error in the booking system. Unfortunately the hotel was full and there was no room. This was also no problem for Hotel Haus am See. Immediately in another hotel (Landgasthof Ochsen in Sinzheim, also a super service) they booked a room for us at the expense of Hotel Haus am See. A great service.     Nice clean room, with private bathroom. With balcony overlooking the valley.Nice box spring beds.Too bad there is no air conditioning, it was very hot when we were there.A small refrigerator would be useful, as the hotel does not have a bar or drinks refrigerator in the hall.Breakfast was simple but good.Reception is only staffed to a limited extent, but this did not cause any inconvenience.Italian restaurant downstairs is good.The terrace and furniture of the restaurant could use a freshening up.All in all a nice stay.Hostess is friendly but reserved.     Booked this hotel months ago on Expedia. Upon arrival the hotel was empty, no staff, no explanation. No answer to the telephone. Located a buzzer and upon giving my name the electronic door was unlocked. No speech from the intercom. Key was left on a table with no staff in the hotel. Restaurant was temporarily closed, no facilities for breakfast as advertised. No explanation and no one to contact. Went elsewhere. Hotel has not responded to my email of complaint. Disgraceful!
