Location

The pleasant city hotel is located near to the main railway station in the centre of Dortmund, opposite the exhibition centre ""Westfalenhallen"", which stages events all year round, for example, the 6 day race . A nightclub, shops, restaurants and bars are all to be found in the surrounding area. It is approximately 15 km to the airport. Dortmund itself is home to significant industrial installations, architecturally note-worthy workers settlements, fascinating museums and glorious views.

Facility

166 rooms, including 129 single rooms and 32 double rooms, are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, a baggage storage service and a safe.     Great hotel.Arrived at 1pm and the rooms were ready. We were on a Borussia Dortmund trip and the hotel had the match tickets / gifts etc. The lady on reception was superb. Really friendly and I was glad her hiccups had gone when we checked out!Room was perfectly fine, had everything you need, pillows little bit stained though and could do with a change.Breakfast was good both days and all staff we met were really helpful. I would recommend this hotel especially if going to the football as its a 10 minute walk to the ground from here. A taxi rank is literally 20 metres from the hotel as well and always had taxis in it.     The junior suite was comfortable, warm, spacious, quiet and clean. The staff was nice, professional and willing to help. The hotel is priceworthy, conveniently located near to the Dortmund Fair and the soccer stadium.     Average hotel but outdated. One elevator was out of order due to maintenance work and the hotel inside appeared rather dark. Room was ok but also outdated and had a unpleasant smell which didn't go away even with a lot of airing. Big window which was nice but if open would stand in the way of the sitting area. Was there with a dog and there was a note in the room saying that dogs cannot be left alone in the hotel room (probably there have been too many barking and destroying dogs in the past). Not sure if this is the right way to welcome dogs and their owners as not all dogs cause noise and trouble. Nice that there was a small fridge and safe and in overall, ok stay.     Perfect for Signal Iduna Park

    Great location for visiting Signal Iduna Park, easy walk to the stadium. Very friendlystaff. Parking available. Rooms were basic but comfortable.Hotel was very busy so we reserved a table for dinner after the match. Very good food and service. Good breakfast also.

    Weird experience. I understand we are in Covid times but the service and offerings in the restaurant were very up and down. Food itself was good and tasty, but service levels made no sense. Getting a drink took forever, when the bar was empty, and the drip, drip of the food side plates and accompanied elements was bizarre.
