    Decent hotel for business trip

    Due to some industry around - huge BASF factory as an example, it is mainly business hotel or trip break for big bus travelers. Few hundreds meters to highway ramp make the hotel somehow convenient. Rooms are relatively spacious and windows are big enough to feel comfortable. Unfortunately, that hotel does not offer more than just basics. The restaurant is relatively expensive. Parking lot is too small to pack all cars needed a place.

    It starts when you arrive. It is close to the highway so you hope for a room at the country side. The parking is at no charge. The freindly staff at the check in desk is giving you the real welcome feeling. The rooms look a little dated, but are very comfortable with clean rooms, nice bed linen and most important, comfortable beds. We had dinner in the Frederic’s restaurant that is located near the lobby. Important: we feel that a little too much salt is used on all main courses. The day after we ordered with no salt so we could add if needed. Then all was just fine. Their breakfast is one of the best. All you can think of.They do have a little bar corner for an after dinner drink. In case you feel like doing some social sports, they offer a kegelbahn (much harder than bowling) downstairs which is free for guests to use.

    We came in late and that was No problem! Very friendly and helpful staff! Great spacious room and a big breakfast buffé with a LOT of choices! Clean! Good price on rooms too! At the time about 63euro. Highly recommend!

    Outdated hotel unfriendly personal with poor english, breakfast for 17 Euro

    We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on our way to South Europe. The hotel has been a good place in the 80-90s but it is old today, not charming just old. The furniture is old-fashioned, the rooms are clean but small, they want 17 Euros for breakfast and there are not much alternatives in the surroundings. The staff is in compliance with the hotel, rather old, unfriendly and they seem tired, they cannot speak fluent english and the communication feels basic and sometimes uncertain. When checking out I would pay with my mastercard and the older woman in the reception gave me a bill in SEK although we were in Germany. I disagreed and I insisted to pay in Euros as we were in Germany and she said that it was my problem (with exactly these words) that I have a mastercard issued in Sweden! I have been travelling in many years and I have never been engaged in such en irrational/unfounded discussion. Old hotel, poor staff, DO NOT stay there if you don't have to.
