This business and conference hotel is located opposite the main railway station in the centre of the pulsating city of Dresden. The Baroque buildings of Dresden's historical city centre can be easily reached on foot or by public transport, which is included in the room price. 162 rooms, including 6 studios and 155 double rooms, are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     Apart from skimping on towels, everything was excellent

    This hotel is opposite Dresden's main railway station and has a huge Semmel supermarket 200 metres away plus Lidl at the station.I had a room near the back that was well soundproofed.There was a comfortable Queen bed albeit with a doona/duvet that did not totally cover the bed, two chairs and a table, bedside tables with lights and a good desk with TV whose only English language channel was France 24.The bathroom was small but well designed with a full length mirror and importantly sufficient space for toiletries.The shower was very clean. Hot water worked well with the mixer tap easy to.operate.There was a safety deposit box and wardrobe. I did not see a haidryer.WiFi and curtains did their job.The breakfast buffet was crowded on Sat and Sun mornings but empty on Monday. It had excellent berry yoghurt, hot chocolate and croissants. Fruit salad was available along with various cheeses and ham. No hot food was on offer. I had to wait almost 20 minutes on the Sunday for a table.Lifts were quickly responsive and staff pleasant.Rooms are only serviced on request which also applies to towel changes.     This hotel a great option is needing to be a train early or arricing late - it located right across from train station and a short walk to main shopping area. Tourist centre is about 20 mins walk away. Hotel was fine, nice room and friendly staff. Only negative i would give is that check in is slow and there are queues to checkin at 3pm. There is a small bar and resturant too which are busy so be mindful at peak times in morning. Overall nice experience!     No Customer Friendliness; Making Money is their Priority

    I have stayed multiple times as this hotel and if you do not have any special requests and are happy with the minimum then this hotel is ok.But after my last experience I will certainly not stay at an intercity hotel any more.Customer Service is provided at a very minimal level. Words like "customer friendliness" or in German "Kulanz" (goodwill) are foreign to them. They follow the letter of the law and their strict policies. Anything out of the ordinary is rejected.Examples: "if the room is ready before the normal time, can I get the key early?" => yes, but only with an additional fee. (I understand that if the have to go out of their way, but if the room is not used just standing empty?)I had stayed for 10 days and reserved an additional room for 4 days for my son. Unluckily a heavy snowstorm prevented my son from being able to travel. "So, I would like to cancel the additional room." => "Let me see, oh, but you have a rate where you get only 10% back." => "Hm, ok then let me change to that room and I cancel the remaining days in my room reserved at business rates." =>"Sorry, your room could only be cancelled until 18:00 on your arrival day." => "Why can I cancel my whole stay until 18:00 on the arrival day, but afterwards can not reduce it any more by a single day?" => "Sorry, those are the rules". We did not try to cancel just because of a change of mind. No, travel was impossible. They could have shown goodwill and increase the refund by 10% or 20 additional percent. But no, rules are rules. They actually gave me less than the included breakfast cost. So the earned even more on a cancelled stay than if we had used the room.Just two out of multiple examples! Do not expect anything additional that they could turn into money or hope they go out of their way.Search for another hotel were "Customer Friendliness" is one of their core values instead!     Convenient location near railway station, tram stops and city centre (and restaurants for the evening), Helpful friendly English speaking staff. Good breakfast, served from 6 o'clock on weekday mornings. Quiet bedrooms with shower rooms.
