    The suite was huge with a totally crazy soviet conference room. Weird but nice. Breakfast too exensive but gratis mini bar not bad.     Disappointing for a 4 star hotel

    We were in Dresden for 5 nights and the temperatures were warmer than average. With temperatures in the mid to high 20s, the hotel’s air conditioning system was non existent. We eventually were able to secure a fan. When we arrived, a member of the group we were with notified the hotel they wanted to check out 2 days earlier than anticipated and the front desk staff said they couldn’t do anything because it was a reservation made through the hotel’s website. This seemed odd and not something we experience in the States. Overall, the front desk staff seemed less than interested in helping when we had questions or needed anything. It was like we were an annoyance to them. I think we would choose to stay elsewhere if we were ever in Dresden again.     Chandeleir breathtaking shame about the lack of a kettle

    Lovely hotel and want to give a 5 but couple of pointers let it down. The breakfast choice was out of this world. We were also fortunate with parking as we were allowed to leave the electric car charged out front and we even got a free drink voucher for my birthday. Sadly there were no drinks making equipment in the room which is basic in most hotels. Also the windows on the 4th floor opened wide which i didn’t feel was safe!

    Needs a refurb, but comfortable

    A large hotel conveniently located just a 10 minute walk to the Dresden Zwinger. It has an impressive central atrium onto which 7+ floors of rooms open out (the glass was being cleaned by abseiling window cleaners one morning while we were there!).The decor is a little tired and old fashioned (a lot of brown swirly carpets!).Reception staff were efficient but not warm or friendly.Our room was spacious and had a nice view toward the old Jenidze cigarette factory but needed modernisation: brown carpet and curtains etc. The bathroom definitely needed to be upgraded: showering I could simultaneously feel hot and cold coming from the shower head (strange and not comfortable!!), and the hairdryer appeared to be >20yrs old and despite being very warm had no power.The bed was very comfortable and there was no noise so we slept well. I quite liked the chocolate by the bed too!Breakfast was excellent. We had very good omelettes made fresh at the egg station. The buffet was extensive and labeled well for allergens. There were plenty of coffee machines too.
