  Unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Upon arrival around 8:30 PM, a restaurant employee reacted rudely to a simple question about dinner and literally waved us out to the street instead of helping. The reception offered no assistance either.The building feels old and poorly maintained, with an unpleasant smell throughout. Radiators in the room were cold, making the stay uncomfortable.Breakfast was disappointing, and after drinking a cappuccino I felt unwell, so I could not finish breakfast.Overall, this place feels closer to a 2-star hotel than what is advertised. I would not recommend it.

  We stayed at the hotel as part of a Leger Silver Service coach tour. The temperature was in the 30's all week and we did as suggested and kept the curtains closed all day. It made no difference! No fan was offered and not even a free bottle of water. We were told the room would only be serviced every other day. Apart from the heat the room was adequate. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could possibly eat. Evening meal was a completely different matter. We were shocked to find that the menu each evening had one choice for each of the three courses. No alternative was offered. On one evening my wife could not eat either the starter or the main course. When she asked the waiter for an alternative she was told that this was all Leger paid for and there was dry bread on the table! As a former coach driver myself I have stayed in numerous hotels (good and bad) over the years but I have never berore stayed in a hotel which did not offer ANY alternatives. The portion sizes were miniscule. The main course one evening consisted of a tablespoon of spinich, a tablespoon of rice, a sliver of sea salmon and a dash of sauce.City centre can be reached by tram which stops a short distance from the hotel or by taxi which costs 19.5 euros each way.   Disappointing overall.

  We stayed here in August on a trip with Ledger Holidays. Our room had no a/c and with temperatures in the thirties it was sorely missed. One guest was admitted to hospital complaining of breathing difficulties that were exacerbated by the overheated rooms. Décor was an odd shade of orange with matching towels but this didn't apply to a shower mat. There wasn't one. Breakfast was adequate and staff during this time were positive and helpful. Dinner was decidedly unsatisfactory and frankly poor. Indeed the best part about it was that the starters were edible. There was no consideration of a vegetarian option and as there were no alternatives on offer to the solitary main course some ended up with just the vegetables. My wife will not eat fish so she made do rice on the final evening. On one occasion while waiting to buy a drink from the bar I waited five minutes while the bar man finished a conversation. He saw I was waiting but preferred to ignore me. In Verbindung mit dem Alter der Teilnehmer kam es dann dazu, dass eine Mitreisende eine Kreislaufschwäche hatte.Unsere Zimmer sind nicht klimatisiert, was Ihnen bei Reiseantritt bekannt war.Dafür haben wir an der Sonnenseite elektrische Jalousien und auf der Rückseite Blackout-Vorhänge, die beide sehr gut Hitze abhalten.Schon im Vorfeld war Ihre Reisegruppe mit zahlreichen Extrawünschen und Unverträglichkeiten beim Abendessen avisiert. Daher waren unsere Mitarbeiter auch besonders sensibilisiert. Es hätte also lediglich eines Hinweises Ihrerseits bedurft, und wir hätten Ihren Wünschen auch gern entsprochen.Für unsere Badewannen haben wir auf Nachfrage auch Matten zur Verfügung. Im übrigen hätten wir Ihnen auf Wunsch auch ein Zimmer mit ebenerdiger Dusche oder ein behindertengerechtes Zimmer zur Verfügung stellen können.   Good breakfast choice-rooms clean-everything works!

  Surprisingly large size Hotel situated in a mainly residential area of Cotta.Bear in mind this Hotel is not in the centre but Tram 12 from close by will take you to Postplatz and the Historical Centre.So value for money with the tram service makes this Hotel a good bet.   Not a good welcome

  Arrived here at 4pm and was told by the girl in reception (no smile ) all rooms on second floor were not ready not good at ,4 pm .She asked if we would like a drink while we waited and a man came around and took orders there was about 14 of us .when our rooms were ready about 45mins later the man came back issuing bills for the coffees .our group was not happy as the receptionist had suggested it in a manner that it was complimentary.we paid our bills .There is no tea making facilities in your room .There is a mini fridge that they do not put on ,so no good .one guest asked about this and was told hers was broken were they all broken?.You can get the no 1 tram on end of road in to town which I suggest as there is nothing around this place Marc A, Geschäftsführer at Taste Hotel Dresden, responded to this review Liebe Susan,es tut uns sehr leid, dass ein Servicemitarbeiter die Getränke kassiert hat. Das hätte nicht sein sollen.Wenn unsere Zimmer zur vereinbarten Zeit noch nicht fertig sein sollten, erhalten die Gäste selbstverständlichfürs Warten ein Getränk gratis.Leider hat unsere neue Empfangsmitarbeiterin dies falsch gemacht und dem Service diese Information nicht weitergegeben.Auch die Aussage zu den Kühlschränke ist so nicht richtig. Diese sind nicht kaputt, sondern lediglich abgeschaltet.Auf Wunsch schalten wir sie gern an.Danke, dass Sie uns auf diese Problematik aufmerksam gemacht haben.
