  Best Western? More Like Mildly Confused Central European Adventure

  A group of us stayed here at the Best Western whilst on a stag do. The hotel was nice. The rooms were okay just slightly small. This was the same with the bed unfortunately. The bathroom and shower were excellent. It is about a 30 minute tram ride out of the city but has connections right outside the hotel.

  The hotel does provide fans but in a heatwave they are not adequate and opening the window is not really an option. Room smallish but comfortable enough, although some water might not be too much to ask. The lift to the first floor is sometimes dodgy as the door does not open unless you physically force it. Breakfast is OK but tbh after a pretty sleepless and warm night one isn't particularly bothered.

  Modern rooms, very well furnished. Friendly and efficient staff. Great breakfast buffet. Public transport right next to the hotel. Walls are thick which means you cant hear any other guests, therefore had a great sleep.

  The headline - Stayed here for 5 nights as part of a business trip. Great front of house staff and overall acceptable when the weather is cool. Check-in was super smooth and the reception team were very welcoming. They gave me all the information I needed; WiFi, breakfast local eating options. The only down side was that I asked for a fan as there was no AC in the room. They were unable to locate one until the next day… 28.5 degrees in the room overnight. Upon entering the room, I had a single room on the 2nd floor which was snug but had all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel within this class. Initial inspection showed all was clean except for the toilet. There was something left by the previous guest that needed clearing with a flush. Not a great start to the room. The next morning, during my first shower, it was evident that the drain was blocked as my entire room filled with water. This was a disappointment from an otherwise great shower - temperature and pressure was great. As I left for work I mentioned the fan requirement and shower issue. I was glad to see both had been resolved by the time I returned after work.Housekeeping - the room was cleaned everyday to good standard. I had to ask for a change of sheet on one day as there were some strange marks on my 'new sheets'. On my penultimate day, the shower gel dispenser had run out. This was not picked up on the subsequent cleans until my check out. Again, nothing major but not great. Breakfast - They had plenty on offer and all was presented well. My only complaint would be for the juices to be served cold instead of room temperature. Summary - I'll probably stay here again due to the location to my work as it's an OK option. However, this will be dependant on the weather. It's too hot without AC.

  Clean, convenient, near market, great staff. Parking at night can be issue and they have no ice and no fridge or drawers to put clothes which I have never encountered in hotel before. Overall very happy .
