This attractive hotel is located centrally and only 350 m from Düsseldorf's main train station. Countless shopping and entertainment venues are to be found in the vicinity, for example, on the famous Königsallee, which is within walking distance. A bus stop is to be found only 100 m from the hotel and the airport is around 5 km away from the hotel.

    We just spent one night but the beds were so comfortable and the pillows even better.The staff was very nice and the hotel super cozy! Overall great!

    Located within a five minutes walk from the Düsseldorf railway station, Friends' formula nicely combines vintage design, good and authentic service, spacious rooms and fair rates. As a last minute decision/choice on this improvised weekend trip, I was very pleasantly surprised by the authentic friendliness at the reception. They gave careful instructions on the phone regarding the public parking used for hotel guests; they booked a table at a nearby, quite good, diner-style brasserie.The bar and lounges are spacious; the vintage furniture and design provide solid cosiness to this "music & lifestyle" the hotel. Good toiletries and quality magazines in the room. (Certain rooms consist of two separates rooms/spaces; for instance 301.)I suppose that rooms situated at the rear side of the building have less street noise; this being said, the renovated building seems fairly well insulated. (No noise from the hallways!)Distinctly multi-cultural, the area is quite distinct from the better-known or typical parts of Düsseldorf but in our experience, safe to explore and use as a base. (I think the hotel provides bicycles.)

    The staff was friendly and helpful. Spoke pefec English. The place was very nice, clean and cozy. Great location. They had wine tasting in the hotel. Very relaxing music and comfy comman place. We would love to go back.

    We booked this hotel because of the high rating, the nice looking pictures and its supposedly good location. When we got there we found it was in a bizarre area of the city. We were willing to give it a try because it looked really trendy from the photos.. but when we walked in, we found what was a dark and dirty place that smelled like a mixture between dust, mould and mothballs. When we saw the room with dark walls and no air conditioning for the August heat we were skeptical, but its when we set eyes on the carpet that we were shocked. I have severe asthma and it would have been impossible for me to sleep in such a dusty, unventilated room with no air movement or clean air whatsoever. We went down to the reception desk where we were told that we could not get our money back even though we were not going to stay there and we had made our booking just half an hour prior (we still had our bags in the car). It's shocking that for health reasons I had to lose money to a dirty hotel that tricks its customers with fake ratings and fakely lit pictures. I am very into small charming hotels with something different, but it is paramount for me and most people I know, that a hotel is clean and sanitary (at least that it looks it). So do not be fooled by this "cool" hotel, they don't care about cleanness or its customers one bit. Be warned.

    Central location, walking distance from train station and tram, short taxi drive to Altstadt. I had a free upgrade and a fantastic suite room with balcony. The interior decoration is fantastic with attention to detail and breakfast was very good as well. Very friendly staff.
