Location

The hotel is located in the southern part of Düsseldorf and is easily accessible from the A46 motorway (exit Düsseldorf-Eller) and the A59. The conference hotel is 15 km from the exhibition/trade fair grounds. The Unterbacher Lake is around 5 km from the hotel, Jever ski hall is 20 km away, and the city centre, its many shops and train station are approximately 10 km away. Düsseldorf International Airport is roughly 15 km from the hotel and Cologne - Bonn Airport is around 45 km away.

Facility

121 non-smoking rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for a fee. Other services include medical assistance, room service (for a fee), a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Guests can also use the bicycle storage facilities. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. All rooms are carpeted and include a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked.

    The worst hotel and staff, I would never stay there again, bad in every way, noise from the cars, if you facing the road , damp on walls, unhelpful reception staff, nothing to do round the hotel, I wouldn't recommend this hotel just check the rest of the reviews, I wish I did before I booked Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Mercure Hotel Duesseldorf Sued, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for this review about your recent stay.We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.     Pleasant hotel in a quiet industrial neighborhood.

    Pros:Price: Hotel provided decent value for the price paid.Staff: Reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and provided good service. One of the breakfast staff even bothered to introduce the breakfast area to me.Room: A small piece of chocolate was placed on each pillow upon check in, a pleasant surprise.Cons:Area: Quiet neighborhood with few to little eateries within walking distance but this is probably because it is located to serve the industrial neighborhood.Room: The air-conditioning was not working (apparently for the whole building as mentioned by the reception). The room amenities were not replenished on my 2nd day (i.e. tea and coffee bags).Hotel Premises: There was only 1 lift available for the whole hotel (highest being 4th floor) and a refurbishment is definitely recommended. Signs of ageing seen everywhere.

    Worst Mercure ever

    Not recommend. Very old Mercure faling apart. Bad service. Poor English. We wanted just the keys at 14.40 because we had an appointment at 15.00. They would not give us any room...while at 9.00 the cleaning lady knocked at our room. So don't tell us we can't have one 20 min before. Parking is 25 euros which is ridiculous for a place outside the city. Finally they wanted us to pay 40 euros extra while my reservation clearly showed that I fully paid. It took 3 people to clear this. Do not go there. Worst mercure I have ever been

    DISASTER IN A MERCURE

    We have been received by the only staff in duty at reception who do not speak English.We have been assigned two rooms at 30 degrees C inside and with the Air conditioner Out of order in both rooms. We have arrived at 4h00 pm and asked the housekeeper to put the A/C on. After 1 hour still no cooling and error message on the control unit.We complained to the reception staff who told us no access to technical staff. We reminded him that hotel is described as having air conditioner and asked him TO CHANGE THE ROOMS.He assigned finally two rooms in two different FLOORS whereas it was a mandatory request from our end to have two nearby rooms and DEFINITELY AT THE SAME FLOOR.Because of my handicapped autistic daughter. We have an EU valide Handicapped Parking card and despite the bad adventure with AC in the rooms, reception refused to offer us parking with free of charge. THIS HOTEL SHOULD NOT BEAR THE MARK OF MERCURE ! VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. CONTACT ME AT hb.turan@gmail.com the situation is real serious
