Location

This hotel is located right next to the central train station and the city centre. The pedestrian zone, the Essen Cathedral with the cathedral treasure chest, the Grillo Theatre and the Limbecker Platz shopping centre, with 100 shops at present, are all comfortably reached on foot.     Our room was not available at check in and the hotel receptionist had a disgusting attitude. She told us to go somewhere else if we didn’t like it and she didn’t have the energy for us. We have waited almost an hour and still no clue when we’ll get in.

    Superb location next to the main train station, and a short walk to loads of shops and restaurants. Parking was easy enough at the back of the hotel. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was fine, as you would expect really. En-suite was good, modern and the shower was good. I would definitely stay again if visiting Essen.

    Very friendly staff who are super helpful. The intercity is well located next to the main train station and you get a travel card which allows free travel to dusseldorf, Wuppertal, duisburg and so many more places. The front desk staff Kamil and Jennifer were super helpful.

    Late evening arrival and welcomed by a very friendly member of staff at check-in. Bed was sufficient;y hard and shower working, which is the most important thing. A functioning air conditioning would have been great but it wasn't very warm, fortunately. Breakfast was just ok and parking not outrrageously priced at 15 Euros for the night. We chose this hotel because of it's location, just off the autobahn, and would go there again.

    The hotel is centrally located, near the city center and the main train station. The reception was very friendly and efficient. The room was standard and clean. There was a safe large enough for a laptop. The bed was comfortable. The view was, well, standard, but for a few nights this is not important. The bathroom was clean and modern, no frills but nothing missing either for the hotel category and price. Water pressure and temperature in the shower good. I was facing the back, so heard absolutely nothing, very quiet and good sleep. The room was a bit warm, but turning down the heating worked. The could send up an iron and board to the room, no problem. I did not try the restaurant nor the breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Essen, either private or business.
