  Old hotel. The rooms are small without wardrobe only a rail for clothes and no refrigerator. The cleanliness is relatively good. Also there was no phone to contact the reception. The breakfast had a variety of sausages, cheeses and eggs. It also had a cafe machine with a great variety. The photos do not correspond to reality.   Room was very clean. Small, but very well furnished. I do miss a small fridge. Bed very comfortable, good matrass and duvet. Did need an extra pillow but that was directly organised by the host. Great hotel for a citytrip. Location is great! Close to citycenter but far enough away for it to be quiet. Parking is available close by. Love the parkinggarage where there is enough space for woman only parking. Feels safe! General safe feeling in hotel and surroundings. Dont be put off by the salvation army close by. There was no nuisance whatsoever. Centro Oberhausen approx 20 mins by car. Ikea, XXXLutz 15 mins, for a great pasta go to trattoria La Famiglia in 7 minutes walk, all in all a perfect location. Breakfast was great and enough to choose from. A great experience. Would def come back next time we want to go shopping around here.

  Good breakfast and beds. room was clean and nice even there was not too much space in bathroom. Some voices from corridoor. Friendly staff. Central station and downtiwn are close but the street is very silent. Would go again. Shopping Center and Gym in few minutes walk.

  Nice hotel. Rooms were recently renovated. Close to the city and shops. From the hotel it is a 5 min. walk into town and the Limbecker Platz shopping mall.Breakfast was included in the roomrate. There was a lot: fresh rolls, vegetables, coffee, 2 juices, joghurt & eggs.The room was clean. The bathroom a bit small and I missed hooks to hang clothes/towels on. There are free parking spaces. I believe this is a good and affordable choice when you are staying in Essen for one or two nights. Although close to the city, it was quiet and not noisy.I would book again.

  this is not a boutique hotel !!

  this is definitely NOT a boutique hotel, absolutely no charm, the hotel is "hidden" in a somewhat strange neighbourhood (you can walk to the center). Rooms are very very very small. The hotel offers breakfast buffet which is ok and the service there is very good. However, rooms were not cleaned one day and towels were forgotten another time. You cannot eat in the hotel, and there is not even a coffee available. Probably related to the many fairs in the area that the price is much too high for what you get.
