Small, noisy and HOT in Summer - no chance to sleep

    rating04 Jul 2017

I booked a room at Rheinisches Hof and after excuses of the management for overbooking was sent to milbor Hotel.Milbor is a hotel without reception and you need to go to the Rheiniches Hof for breakfast through the connecting garage but I didn't mind. The + : clean room, close to several restaurants and bars in Bad SodenThe - : tiny room, no place to set your luggage, very hot in the summer (sun would heat up your room through the glasses all day long), and vey noisy main street between cars that drive like in a racetrack and people singing / yelling in the street all night long. You can whose between suffocating or being woken up 20 times during the night.Reception desk was listening to my comments and apologizing but it didn't make my stay better. So never ever again over there.

There were problems but reception was nice and respectful.

This Hotel is in fact part of Rheinischer Hof Hotel which is in about 100m near the Main train station and you have to walk to Rheinischer Hof Hotel for breakfast, that's why I canceled the breakfast after 2 days. I had to call twice to get the stained bed sheets and pillows changed. And I had false charges for mini-bar at check out. But after talking to reception the problem was solved. I had a nice stay :)

    Don't go there in Summer!

    rating25 Sept 2016

We usually stay at the Rheinischer Hof but since it was being renovated we booked the Milbor. I arrived at the hotel entrance on Koenigsteinerstr and someone let me in. Once inside I followed the signs for reception which took me into the underground car park. This is pretty scary late at night for a woman on her own. I opened the door marked "reception" and found myself on a building site. I retraced my steps to the first floor of the Milbor and found a floor if half-naked Polish guys lying on their beds as you would in a hostel! There was no problem with them; they were lovely and one if them took me to the reception of the Rheinischer Hof, which Is also the reception of the Milbor! Why on earth they didn't signpost things better is beyond me. My room was in the Milbor on the second floor. It was tiny. Very tiny! Barely enough room for a single bed (see photos). And there was no air conditioning. So on one of the hottest nights of the year I had the choice of suffocating from heat with the window closed or not getting any sleep with the windiest open into Koenigsteinerstr, which turns into a racetrack after dark. To be fair, I was moved into the Rheinischer Hof following my complaint but I was then on a building site. I assume the problems of the renovation are now resolved. But the choice of heat or noise in the Milbor cannot be resolved. Don't stay there in summer.

    Strange hotel

    rating06 Jul 2015

Strange hotel setup. Basically this hotel and the Reinischerhof are the same one...for breakfast for example, you have either walk outside or go to the garage to go the the Reinischerhof, where the service take place.Pros: location- next to plenty restaurants, next to the train station, breakfastCons: small rooms

    The Newer Reinischerhof

    rating12 May 2015

Actually there are to hotels with one reception. Milbor hotel is a part of Reinischerhof hotel located next to the S-Bahn station (S4). Room size is sufficient and the equipment is new. When you go for breakfast you need to pass through the garage, but it is nothing bothering. Hotel staff is always helpful. There are also parking lots belonging to the hotel in case you travel by car.The downtown of Frankfurt you might reach in 35 minutes by S-Bahn and close the hotel Main-Taunus-Zentrum can be found for shopping.
