  Accommodation ok but management rude and unprofessional

  We arrived at the apartment but both of us felt weirdly uncomfortable there. We were on the 5th floor but could not find any stairs apart from an exterior fire escape. My travelling companion is anxious in lifts so we quickly decided to cancel our reservation and find somewhere else.I emailed the company to let them know we had decided to cancel, not asking for, or expecting, a refund. The reply from 'The Management' was shockingly rude and unprofessional. From other reviews it seems this response is not unusual.If you do decide to book, keep your fingers crossed that everything is fine and you don't need to contact the management. Good luck if you do. Haben wir alles sehr gedulgig und höflich wieder und wieder beantwortet bzw. bestätigt. Aufgrund Ihrer mehrfach geänderten Anreisezeit sind Sie letztlich leider außerhalb unserer Rezeptionszeiten angereist, kein Problem, Sie konnten über unseren Schlüsselkasten einchecken. Zudem haben wir Ihnen eine Telefonnummer zur Verfügung gestellt, unter welcher wir bei Fragen rund um die Uhr für Sie zur Verfügung stehen. Sie sind angereist und gleich wieder abgereist. Gründe: Erstens behaupteten Sie, dass es keine Treppe gibt. Das ist falsch, wir haben sogar zwei Treppen. Eine außenliegende Feuertreppe konnten Sie sogar von einem Ihrer Fenster sehen, zudem die innenliegende Treppe, unser wunderschönes denkmalgeschütztes Holztreppenhaus, auf booking.com sogar auf einem Foto sichtbar. Zweitens, dass angeblich eines der Betten nicht mit einem Softtopper, wie siebenmal gewünscht, ausgestattet wurde. Auch das ist nicht richtig. Wir sind gerne Gastgeber, aber auch Gastfreundschaft hat Grenzen! Leider ist mein Englisch nicht das Beste, so dass meine Verärgerung über Ihre nicht nachvollziehbare Stornierung eventuell im Englischen zu hart rübergekommen ist!? Dann möchte ich mich dafür ehrlich entschuldigen. Mit besten Grüßen aus Leipzig, der Manager.PS: Sie beziehen sich darauf, dass es auch andere kritische Bewertungen gibt. Tatsächlich findet sich neben den sehr vielen positiven Bewertungen hin und wieder auch mal eine Negative. Z.B. der indische Gast, der immer wieder buchte und stornierte, wahrscheinlich, weil er einen Unterkunftsnachweis für sein VISA brauchte. Beim letzten Mal hatte er das Stornieren vergessen, ist einfach nicht angereist (NoShow). Bezüglich der anfallenden Stornierungsgebühren versuchte er uns zu erpressen, drohte mit einer schlechten Bewertung, wenn wir die Stornogebühren nicht erlassen. Wie Sie lesen können, haben wir die Stornogebühren dann erst recht nicht erlassen. ;-)

  Business travellers beware

  I've been traveling on business for 10 years but haven't come across anaccomodation that is as uncooperative and inconsiderate as this place. My company's travel desk booked a 1 week accomodation at this place and due to some change in travel plans I couldn't be there. They charged us 90% cancellation fee for 7 nights worth EUR1000 plus. Despite many requests they simply dismissed our request to refund or give us credits. Usually hotels are accommodating of business travellers but not this hotel. Highly disappointed and I'll not recommend any company to book this hotel for any business travel in Leipzig. SchlafGut C, at SchlafGut AppartementHotel, responded to this review We've been accommodating business clients for over 25 years and are happy to offer them flexibility when their travel plans change. Guests then inform us of their change or cancellation, and we find a accommodating solution. However, you simply didn't show up (a no-show). We're a small hotel and therefore do not tolerate such disrespectful treatment of our availability, including the way you "requested" for our goodwill.

  I wanted a hotel room, not a sauna

  Given the price level of this room it should have an a/c, but it hasn’t. Granted, it’s not listed. But opening a window is not really an option as well. Our room was overlooking a square with traffic lights with too many cars burning rubber at the lights. The reception is only open until 8pm. The paid parking is just outside the building, so not really that much better then off street parking in terms of safety. We didn’t understand the high ratings other have given this place. Maybe when you have no car, are travelling in a cooler period and arrive early it’s not as bad. But in summer I recommend to go elsewhere.

  it is a good hotel the staff is nice the best thing about the hotel is it's location it's only 5 minutes away from Central station per foot and near Augustz platz there is too many restaurants aroumd the hotel my stay was nice very clean room it's good

  Very good localization - close to the city center and train station. A perfect place for families - the hotel proposes baby bed in the room. Our apartment was well equipped that facilitated our life a lot (especially in the night when I had to prepare milk for our son).
