  Just a really bad hotel.

  I cannot understand the high reviews for this place, the only positive thing I could find is that it is 10 minute walk from train station. There are a list of issues, no socket near a mirror to dry hair, shower attachment loose so water sprays everywhere and no sealant on screen so that the toilet gets wet when you shower. Managed to book a room service clean, note that even if you book a service they will not come if you leave your key in the socket inside the room, the beds and towels were not changed, the bathroom floor was left dirty, did not replenish the tea/coffee etc etc. Not sure what they did other than make the beds. Breakfast is poor, no boiling water for tea, food is of a poor quality and to add insult to injury by 9.45am they are asking you to leave. The staff that we did speak to were at best ineffectual. We would not recommend.   I had rented the biggest suite available 75 m2 in the hope that I would receive the best service available. I arrived on the monday evening, a couple of days passed and my suite never received any cleaning whatsoever. I asked at the front desk why that was and the reply was : 'Oh but sir you need to book your cleaning, it is written on the paper'. Said paper in an A4 sheet full of information left somewhere in the suite, one side in german (I dont speak german so really helpful) and the other side in english. And if you re lucky to have spotted these instruction then you need to scan a QR code next to you tv. Ridiculous.The suite also had a kitchenette and small fridge, the fridge is full of ice and the freezer compartment is broken. Needless to say, I have cancelled my future stay in this hotel in March.   Very happy with our stay

  Very happy with our stay at Arcotel - convenient to train station and walkable to Christmas markets. It was quite quiet (when facing away from main street). We stayed in the suite for 3 people and it was very spacious. The room was not stuffy / pre-heated which we appreciated. Breakfast was very satisfactory. We received a complimentary plate of desserts for our wedding anniversary which was a very nice touch!   Excellent 4-star hotel in the city centre

  The hotel is located near Stuttgart Main Station, and the city centre can be easily reached on foot. I would say that it takes a maximum of 5-10 minutes to reach the heart of the city. The hotel is also convenient for those arriving by car: indoor and outdoor parking spaces are available (at a very reasonable price of EUR 23 per night). Let's talk about the price for staying during the high season (Cannstatter Volkfest): absolutely fair for a 4-star hotel. Rooms are a bit standard and perhaps a little basic, but very spacious. The bathroom looked a bit like a hospital bathroom, but both the bathroom and the room were absolutely spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. It can get a bit busy, but if you go early, the dining room is very quiet and the food is very good. Recommended.
