    Great for my business trip to Stuttgart

    This hotel was a perfect choice for my business trip to Stuttgart. It has a great location, right in the city center, close to the main train station, just next to the main pedestrian zone with all the shops and restaurants. If you are arriving with a car, hotel has its own garage, which is super convenient. I was staying at the hotel for 10 nights and important thing for me was to have good breakfast and in my opinion the breakfast variety and quality was better than in some more exclusive hotels. And the best thing about the Unger hotel is the hotel staff…reception, housekeeping,…They are all very friendly and helpful. Special thanks goes to the breakfast restaurant team, Darinka, Abel and Maryam…all of them very professional, kind, polite and always at your service.

    We stayed here while visiting the Christmas market & Ludwigsburg. It's a very nice hotel. Clean & comfortable, with efficient & friendly staff who do all they can to make your visit as comfortable as possible, & an excellent breakfast that set us up for a day touring. If we're ever here again, we'd definitely return to this hotel. It is in an excellent location, very close to the railway station & main shopping area. The tourist information centre is close by with lots of help for you to make the most of your visit. We took the S Bahn out to Ludwigsburg for the day. Well worth it. Such a lovely place, & so easy to get to. On 6th December we woke up & were surprised by a gift bag containing chocolates & fruit hanging on our room door, & when we went down to breakfast Father Christmas was waiting outside the dinning room to greet guests with a very merry "Ho, Ho, Ho," & a delicious "Bread man" each. When asked about the bag of chocolate left on our bedroom door, we were told Father Christmas had been! (A lovely surprise.)😁👌🏼

    We went on a self planned tour of Christmas Markets in Europe in 2024. Since we were traveling by train from one destination to the next, our primary criteria for a hotel was to find a nice hotel near the train station so we would not need to drag our luggage a great distance. Hotel Unger was terrific - just a 5 x 6 minute walk from the train station. Plus the staff was great, the rooms were nice, and the restaurant and included breakfast was excellent. The hotel was quiet, convenient, and comfortable. Highly recommended.

    The hotel is next to the mainstation. My room was quiet but old and in a really bad state (see pictures). I didn't go to the personal because it was late and I just wanted some sleep, I highly recommend to look for another hotel, this is not a 4-star house in my opinion (the receptionist was wearing private clothes for example, nothing that I care about but also nothing that I would expect when visiting a hotel like that)

    Greeted with a smile on arrival. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful.Single room basic but clean. Had minibar which was reasonably priced. Bathroom clean and adequate.Nice breakfast- fresh rolls, nice hams, cheeses and smoked salmon. Stollen was a nice touch.For a hotel in middle of big city I would have expected to have a working safe. The ones in room 118 and 117 did not work. Whilst this was reported, was told by receptionist that was a major undertaking to repair but could leave valuables at reception. Not ideal. Not great views from rooms although may have been due to asking for quiet rooms.Did not find bar area in evening inviting. Had difficulty getting served. Disappointing that did not serve Stuttgart beers.Central location- close to Hauptbahnhof and Sbahn stop less than 300m away. Walking distance to Koenig Strasse and Schlossplatz..
