    The hotel has been partially updated and is generally clean, however the upgrade has been done to general areas around pool and partial in rooms so photos do not reflect the full hotel.Staff were friendly and helpful. Food quality was mixed, crockery was often not fully clean and still wet when stacked at buffet start.Location is not great with small beaches and very limited shops, bars and restaurants.On balance I would say acceptable average 3 star.

    Wow. What a beautiful small family run hotel. Stayed 7 days in the Blue Aegean for a quiet getaway. Arrived late at night where we were met at reception by Frank. He had staff open the bar and restaurant for us to grab a bite to eat and drink after a long journey. It was a small plate of Greek tapas which we appreciated not the usual dry ham and cheese sandwich. He escorted us after we’d finished to our room. Staying in the annex I expected something off the hotel. Instead we had the most fantastic ground floor terraced apartment. Sml kitchenette with kettle fridge and sink spacious bathroom and bedroom. Rooms were cleaned every 2nd day but towels changed daily. The cleaning staff were all lovely and friendly. With our own pool area. Across the road was the main hotel where the bar, restaurant and entertainment area was. Didn’t bother us as it was less than 25 meters away. The road isn’t busy. You were a two minute walk to the beach where there was bars and two supermarkets. There were different variations of food for breakfast lunch and dinner. Now we did read that food was cold or lukewarm, we did find this out for ourselves but next to the toaster was a microwave we just popped our plates into it for a minute or so and the food was warm delicious. Plenty of choice for young and old those that are fussy eaters you know who you are. Freshly made Pizza and chips and pastas. Different veg served every night with rice dishes chicken pork fish or beef on offer. The pork was amazing. As we were all in, drinks on offer were limited to local alcohol. The dash of coke on offer to add to the alcohol was the hotels downfall, not at all nice. We ended up paying for Coke Zero by the can to dilute the alcohol. No cocktails included in all in another mistake by hotel. Yes you can have a cocktail at a price happy hour reduces them to 5€ between 9-10pm. Entertainment the week we were there was ok. The beach bar had local bands play when the hotel entertainment wasn’t our thing. Bar staff, waiters and waitresses were all very friendly. The hotel owner was very friendly and wished us well on our return journey. Reception staff were all a great help when we hired a car through them. Full of useful information on the area. The main strip is a 15 minute walk where there is shops a supermarket and bars and cafes. Hereiklion was a 2euros bus ride from bus stop 13 market day is a Thursday, with an old Venetians port. Also great shopping streets bars and restaurants. Something for everyone. Would we go back? Most definitely. It was one of the most relaxing holidays I’ve been on for a while. It not only caters for the young and old it also caters for those that want to travel alone, it caters for anyone with a disability as well. To the owners and staff we just want to say thank you for giving us the most relaxing holidays I’ve we have ever had.

    Perfect Location to Relax or Base for Plenty Activities

    A clean spacious family run property, that has expanded through building new accommodation and refurbishments over the many years I've visited. Several pools, including private hot tubs for selected rooms.The All inclusive option provides freshly cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner (buffet style) with local beer, spirits and wine. Pay for specific labels, if you wish. Good variety of freshly cooked traditional food, varying per day. There is also a pizza oven delivering tasty pizzas with various toppings.All staff are great, friendly and helpful. Shout out to Dimos & the team!The location is less than 20 mins from the airport, ideal for; walks along the beachfront; swimming in the sea; short walks to local towns with plenty of shops, bars and tavernas; hire a car/quad/bike to explore the island/mountains; attend some tours!

    Our stay was absolutely amazing. We had a privet airport transfer, which was well organized for us. The room provided was in perfect location, very clean and well maintained. For two of us, there was plenty of space. All our wishes were solved quickly at reception without any delays. All meals in the buffet were very tasty, service on front was helpful and caring. I can recommend massage in hotel spa. The distance to the beach is less then 100m. Hoping to be back next year.

    A very small, tired and dated hotel in a fairly remote area. 3 supermarkets. 30 min walk to more shops. First allocated room (see the mages) was dark and very close to the bar. We were moved to a room in a better position but no view to speak of. Also dark and dated. It was an accessible room which might be why there was a small shower area with a shower curtain that stuck to you. Food was edible but repetitive. Stairs to upper dining room had loose carpet. All inclusive drinks very limited. Disappointing and definitely not good value for money.
