Location

Ideal for beach holidaymakers and families, this country hotel is situated in a quiet area in Malia, near the sea. Shops, bars, and restaurants can be reached within about 10 minutes' walk.

Facility

73 rooms are available to guests. German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas (no extra charge). Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Services include a transfer service.     What can I say that hasn't already been said. Matheos Apartments are one of the most friendliest places we have ever had the pleasure of visiting! Like one big happy family.The 14 apartments/studios are kept so clean by the wonderful Tilly and as for the bathrooms, the shower we had was much more powerful than the one we have at home!Helen is amazing, especially her sense of humour and quick wit. She made both myself and partner's stay really enjoyable and fun - even when you ask for something that's not on the menu 🤣. Lovely cheese and bacon omelettes, fried breakfasts and not forgetting her home made chips which were to die for! On the subject of food, the Saturday night BBQ is a must, absolutely delicious food cooked by George and also other lovely dishes to accompany the tasty meat.We have been back nearly a week now and really do miss everyone.....really hope to return. ❤️

    Second time at this lovely small family run hotel.Helen, George and their son Matthew are fab hosts.You are definitely part of their family as soon as you walk in.Helens humour is hilarious.I only have to look at her to start laughing ❤️Fantastic setting , great clean apartments.Lots of great tavernas close by.Hopefully see them all again soon

    From the moment we got to hotel we were made welcome by Helen and Matthew. Lovely small hotel with only 14 rooms made it better to mix with other people on holiday who seem to be returning customers so that’s a good sign. Helen works mornings and afternoons, works hard and is very entertaining with her dry sense of humour. The studio rooms are basic with lovely bathrooms and great showers, beds are firm but that suited me. Nice big balcony and couldn’t fault it. The pool is small but got best ever sunbeds, so comfortable. It’s not 5 star hotel but I never paid 5 star price . Short walk to start of villages. Met some lovely people from wales who had good sense of humour which will leave good memories. All in all a great week in the brilliant villages. Big thanks to everyone we met and mixed with at hotel, all good company . Leigh and Claire

    Amazing Apartments in a wonderful location

    Just back from a fantastic week in Crete staying at the Matheos Apartments. The apartments are excellent, room was exceptionally clean and the bed was comfy, my room had a large terrace with views down to the coast and included all the amenities you need for a self catering holiday. There is a small pool and plenty of sun loungers, breakfast and snacks are available throughout the day and the bar is superb with a large selection of drinks and TVs to watch any sport that is on! The apartments are family run and the level of service you receive is top tier, Matthew, George and Helen do all they can to make your time there brilliant! The weekly barbecue night was an amazing experience with guests encourage to socialise whilst enjoying excellent Greek food! The surrounding area is lovely with plenty of great options for food and drink, all in all I can highly recommend the apartments and had an absolutely amazing holiday!

    We have just got back home from a fantastic week in Piskopiano and Matheos Appartments. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and the this continued throughout our 7 day stay. The Room we were allocated had an uninterrupted sea view, it was spotless on arrival and stayed that way throughout the week. There were no problem obtaining sun lounges during the day and albeit a small pool ( no swimming Lengths) it was perfect for cooling off, the well stocked bar and a good offering of snacks topped it off. The short walk into the village and a wonderful selection of bars and restaurants had us spoilt for choice, (I would highly recommend pre booking the restaurants this time of year to avoid disappointment) , We were pleased we found this gem after staying in the near by village in previous years and are looking to return as soon as our diary allows ! G
