  Great holiday destination and hotel

  We had an amazing stay at Alia Palace! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and incredibly relaxing, with stunning views and a lovely atmosphere throughout. The staff were welcoming, professional, and always happy to help, which made the experience even better and spoke good English for us UK visitors. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with excellent daily cleaning services. The food was excellent with plenty of variety, and the pool area was perfect for unwinding. Everything felt and was well organised and high quality from start to finish.A perfect place for a relaxing holiday, we would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Halkidiki!   Great place to relax

  We spent 7 fantastic days here, staff were all super accommodating and friendly. Our room (508) executive suite was clean and spacious and the pool was well maintained, pool maintenance guys cleaned every morning. There are two comfy sun beds and plenty of outdoor chairs to relax on.The beds in our rooms were comfortable and the spacious shower was great.Our room was throughly cleaned every day.The hotel is located on a hill, a shuttle service is offered to town hourly, we however chose to walk both ways every day to work off the fabulous food that we indulged in.Plenty of restaurants/coffee shops in town.We hired quad bikes from town and explored the surrounding areas on those.The hotel pools were great, always clean and plenty of sun beds to chill on.Overall a great experience would definitely go back.   Really enjoyed my time spent at Alia Place.Rooms were clean and comfortable, with stunning views. We did the all inclusive package, which was great value for price. Loved the food (perhaps a little too much), loads to choose from. Love the staff, every member of staff was friendly, helpful and cheerful.   Worst hotel been too

  Avoid at all coststhis hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel just returned from a holiday here Where do I start, I booked a room with private pool (thank god I did) as I have mobility problems and these are the only rooms that you can walk straight into otherwise you would have to go up flights of stairs with no lift which I would never have been able to do the pool was freezing so could not use which was a waste of money The buffet was a 1 star as was extremely small and definitely not a lot of choice food was cold a few times my partner had to bring it to staff for them to throw out it was like it was taken out of the fridge and just put outI can’t eat fish so when I went one night it was fish night (even fish in the salads) so ended up eating two tiny bread rolls, when I suggested to the hotel manager about more choice for people that could not eat fish I was treated so badly for saying this and asked did I read the labels for the dishes which I said I have to do that and when no label was with the dishes which happened I had to ask a member of staff and this night even when a member of staff said they would as the chef to do something I suggested even pesto pasta they came back with a flat out no Then the bar staff (excluding tallia) was every slow to bring your drinks so you had to order well in advance to get a drink for when you finish your drink you hadAnd even doing this you where given a dirty look for doing thisThan to top this holiday off we had 800 pounds taken from our room first the manager blamed us, we reported it to the police, the manager went to the police station to collect my partner while I stayed at the hotel on the way back suggested to my partner that I took the money (which left my partner fuming) did this manager think he would not come back and inform me what he said to himWe asked for a paper with evidence that we reported it to hotel and police from the manager to a reply from him as..no I can’t give you anythingThis is the worse employee let alone a manager that iv ever come into contact withIf you have any issues stay away from him you will be look down on and you will be blamed for anything and everything I have never done a review but seriously thought I had to do it to let others know before they go to this hotelThe only positive I have for this hotel is the views that you get for taking photos Alia Palace, Γενικός Διευθυντής at Alia Palace Luxury Hotel and Villas, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback. As a gesture of goodwill and in an effort to improve your dining experience, we offered complimentary vouchers for our à la carte restaurant.Regarding the unfortunate incident concerning the missing money, we would like to clarify that the hotel management handled the matter with seriousness and support from the very beginning. The police were called to the hotel immediately in order to conduct an official investigation. Following their inspection, no signs of forced entry or room tampering were identified. For further investigation and statements, you were then asked by the authorities to attend the police station in a nearby village.Our manager remained available throughout the entire situation and, entirely on his own initiative, personally returned to pick him up from the police station , in order to assist and support you during this stressful situation.We are therefore deeply disappointed by the accusations made towards our staff and management team, especially as every effort was made to support and assist you during your stay.We would also like to mention that during your stay, there were repeated attempts to encourage other guests around the hotel to leave negative comments and reviews, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere for both guests and staff.Nevertheless, we appreciate all feedback as it helps us continue improving our services.   We are just back from a weeks stay here frm 7th may. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels & genuinely this is not that. This hotel is more like a 4 star but definitely not a 5. For me, a hotel needs to be 5 star quality in EVERY way not just some. Room: We stayed in a junior suite with a private pool. The room itself was nice, large ceilings with wooden beams & a dressing gown & slippers were provided. They had hotel buggys to give u a lift from reception to your room if requiredHowever, The bathroom, was quite dated. Lilac tiles, one sink, basic shower & cheap accessories ie bin & toilet brush- not expected from a 5 star hotel. The tv has 1 channel that in the evening shows a movie in English. There are however multiple French & German channels all day long. The pool was cleaned every morning, however was surrounded by trees so within an hour was full of bugs & bits off the trees. The room hardly got any sun so we spent the majority of time at the hotel pool which for me defeats the purpose of paying for a room with a private pool. There were broken tiles & the fence was in poor condition which I believe should all be fixed before a hotel opens for the season. I had an issue with the hairdryer constantly working then cutting off one evening as if it was almost overheating. Someone did come very quickly to look at it however in my opinion a replacement should have been provided immediately but he said he would check if they had any spare yet did not return. Also advised they would fix the hairdryer the next day & did not return to do this either. This was the only time I tried to use it. I believe that things like this should be resolved quickly & easily if this was genuinely a 5 star hotel. The road on the way to & from our room had obvious been fixed with new tarmac however it looked terrible. Again this is just another small thing that should be sorted for a 5 star hotel. Board basis: we booked this as a half board option- breakfast & dinner - as we like the option of exploring the local area. Be aware that the hotel is up a very large steep hill & there is a small town- pefkochori at the bottom. There is not much to do here at all.The hotel does have absolutely stunning views. We asked regarding adding on all inclusive on a day to day basis - again as we have done in many other 5 star hotels- great if you’re having a pool day etc & want to drink alcohol - as the cocktails are €15 each - however you were only allowed to upgrade to all inclusive if you added it on for the full remainder of your stay. As there wasn’t much to do nearby, we ended up adding this option but at €60 p/p per day, it added on a good amount to an already expensive holiday. Pool area: The infinity pools are stunning & there was always plenty of loungers available however the umbrellas could have been doing with being fixed as they looked old & frayed. Shuttle Bus:The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to & from the town & beach which is great, however the bus is dirty & in need of repair badly- the window was taped closed - so we chose to use the local taxis instead as it was only €5 each way. Again, definitely not 5 star quality. In conclusion, we enjoyed our week. It definitely allowed us to relax as there wasn’t much else to do nearby. The hotel could be so much better. The restaurant staff were all lovely. Extra shout out to George at the pool bar who always had a whiskey & coke ready for my husband every time he saw him. But this hotel is definitely not 5 stars.
