    Fantastic hotel & Staff

    rating30 May 2026

Staying at the palace for a week what immediately strikes is the friendly nature of the staff especially Daniela on reception, the rooms are cleaned every single day we stayed in room 607 and didn’t have any problems with noise etc. Breakfast is fine plenty of choice and all fresh fruit etc. 15 minutes walk or €5 cab into the old town square where there are great taverna’s plenty of bars and other restaurants etc. The beach is 5 minutes walk where you can get a couple of beds and an umbrella ranging from €10-€40 a day, the beach is very stoney so try to bring your beach shoes the water is crystal and no rubbish at all. Thanks Daniela and the Flegra Palace fir a great holiday cheers

A Nice Hotel With Potential for Improvement

    rating21 May 2026

Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but there is definitely still a lot of room for improvement. In our experience, this felt more like a 3-star experience rather than a 4-star one. We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights with breakfast included. The room was basic but fine. It was kept clean and the bed was comfortable. What we did find strange was that during the first few nights, the duvet was not inside a cover but simply placed on top of the bed. We also had a ground-floor room, which meant that quite a lot of insects came inside. Another downside was that the room was very noisy. Almost every evening we could hear our upstairs neighbors very clearly, which was not very pleasant. The staff is friendly, but you really have to ask for everything yourself. During check-in, for example, we were not given any general information about the hotel or the area. If you want to know how to get to the city center, what there is to see or do nearby, or how to rent a car, you need to ask about it yourself.Around the pool, the staff honestly seemed rather unmotivated. Every now and then someone would walk by, but we were never asked if we wanted to order drinks. That feels like a missed opportunity for both service and extra revenue. We also found the food and drinks at the restaurant quite overpriced, which is why we barely used it.The spa was very limited and expensive. However, the lady working there deserves a compliment: she was extremely friendly and clearly carried out her treatments with care and passion. The biggest disappointment, however, was the breakfast buffet. For 11 days, exactly the same food was served every morning. The selection was very basic and, to be honest, rather sloppy. Some of the labels were incorrect, and there was no allergen information at all, which nowadays really should not happen. The fried eggs were often undercooked and sometimes even cold. The fruit presentation also looked poor; there was very little fresh fruit available, mostly canned fruit, which did not taste good either. We mentioned this to the staff, but it did not really feel like our feedback was appreciated by the chef. There were also no labels at all for the pastries and sweets, so you had no idea what you were taking. One thing we did like was the idea that guests could make their own Greek coffee. However, it is not very practical to let guests do this entirely by themselves, as most people do not know the correct proportions and it takes quite a while to prepare. It would be much nicer and smarter to have someone there making it for the guests — a small extra service that would immediately create a better atmosphere and experience. The pool itself was nice, but the water was extremely cold. Besides that, there is not much to do at the hotel. I’m glad we rented a car, otherwise I think I would have been very bored during our stay.Overall, we enjoyed parts of our stay, but there are several areas that need improvement for this hotel to truly meet 4-star expectations.

    Wonderful Flegra Palace (happy!)

    rating30 Oct 2025

If you book room 515, you can wait fantastic view to the deep blue sea and amazing mountain range on other side, you get beautiful sunrise every morning and cosy sunshine first in the morning. Room has 2 tv-s, nice big toilet/showers/make up area. Balcony was always clean, very close to nature so you sence sweet sence of flowers and trees nearby.Bed was comfortable and well equipped with extra pillows. Sleeping was nice and quiet, absolutely no loud music or drunk people, very happy with that experience. Hoter breakfast was compact but there was everything you need, egg, bacon, beans, mushrooms, 5-6 different cheese and ham, coffe, sweets etc. Hotel is short walk from town, for those with high heels there is 2 taxis in town. About 5euro per trip.Hotel staff is professional, had answers for every question, recommended small daytrips and had good sence of humour. Around hotel is about 10 very friendly cats, they are really sweet and gracious.

Nice looking hotel with bad experiences

    rating23 Oct 2025

The gave us a room that was very noisy and never replaced it. We couldn't sleep at night. If you get there don't take room 604. The breakfast was the same every day.
