  Hello travelers. Today i want to tell you a part of thinks about this hotel. I stayed here with my wife for a honeymoon.So this is good place for have a quite and relaxing vacation.Hotel have a lot of places for rest, it could be a swimming pool or restoran, own garden or etc. Also hotel have place for children, so full family will be feel yourself comfortable.Not far from the hotel deslocated the great beach in Chalkidiki.One moment is disappointing my heart. This is cat that has name Marika.This cat has become a home pet for all of us. But this cat is homeless. We are loving this cat, but can not get it with us to our home. So if someone can give this cat a new home, JUST DO IT !In the end I wish you have a good vacation.   It says when booking via hotel-website, you get one bottle of wine (value 25 Euros) extra for dinner in restaurant "il basilico". after trying to get it (no one knows that restaurant) and after finding it in a hidden area in another hotel, no one knows about that voucher. after complaining in the macedonian sun hotel and a few telephone calls later, i was advised the discount will be 6 euros per person. no matter what it says on their website! This is lying and tricking on the customer!!!!! avoid that hotel!The Hotel itself offers no Wifi in the rooms. Even the wifi at the reception area works poor or does not work at all (evening times). There is no electricity nearby the beds!It is hard to get a beach towel due to the hotel owning only 20-25 of it.Breakfast time is UNTIL 9:30 and the breakfast is horrible. The worst juice i ever had in my live and the fried egg tasted like dish soap.There aren't bathroom amenities even though it is written on their website.I paid nearly 100 € a night. Whatfor? Only for a clean room and a nice bed? Never again!   A Very comfortable and cozy hotel "Macedonia Sun"

  Month ago i've been in the hotel "macedonia Sun"There's a very friendly staff, receptionist's helpful and always is ready for your questions.Very interesting administration.Food is very different, but taste. There isn't large ammount of fruits, but every fruit is fresh and juicy. But sometimes there's not enough place for guests and that's a little bit uncomfortable. And remember: you're not allowed to take food with yourself into the room or somewhere else. Administration are always watching over you.Room isn't very big, but comfortable. We were in the room for three people. Maids make their work clean and without any problems. Though the room was very comfortable, we had problems in the bathroom, but after conversation with the receptionist problems disappeared. Also we took with ourselves electric extender, because there aren't enough ammount of sockets. The sea isn't far away, but way back is a little bit difficult.The beach is very comfortable with a soft send, but deck chairs and umbrellas are very expensive, better take with yourself your own.   Fair view of our time at this hotel

  Good things about this hotel, it has lovely gardens, it sits in a nice position and the birds (I believe are swifts, I could be wrong) in the early evening and first thing in the morning flight displays are spectacular. The room are clean and daily cleaned with regular bedding and towel changes. The restaurant and cleaning staff are welcoming and helpful and I cannot praise highly enough, they are also very family friendly. There are shops in front of the hotel which supply most albeit basic needs for a family holiday. Anything more can be found in the nearest town, approx 10 minutes away by taxi. A bonus was we could use the faculties of a much bigger hotel (Owned by the same group) across the road which was great for children and their activities. Great beaches only 5 minutes away.Fair things about this hotel, it is a three star hotel, the food was on the whole good but limited choice and tended to be repeated too often. I did have one or two not so good meals but to be fair I’ve had that in 5 star hotels. The style of all the rooms and furniture is dated and I haven’t seen a room TV like that since the 70’s.Now the bad things, the hotel reception staff were very rude and very unhelpful. My wife borrowed a beach towel with a deposit of 12.50 Euros, when I returned the towel and only got back 10 Euros, so not a deposit more a rental. There is a nice swimming pool but not for small children. So if they can’t swim they can’t use the pool, adults and swimmers only. We were all inclusive but getting drinks was harder than it should be with ice creams at an extra cash cost. No snacks available and some of the staff seemed to find serving drinks a pain with rudeness and almost throwing the poured drinks at you. I stress this was only one or two of the staff and does not include any of the restaurant staff. We arrived as a family to the hotel at 1:30am, the hotel was in total darkness and with no directions we ended up first in the restaurant area then by the swimming pool before finally finding the reception. We had no help with all our baggage (read further on) and they made us pay for two small bottles of water to quench the thirst of children. No free Wi-Fi.Overall. It is a three star hotel so you get what you pay for, good and bad. HOWEVER only book this hotel if you are young and / or fit. Why? Everywhere is steps or steep slopes, (see photos). You get a great cardio workout just from the rooms to the pool or restaurant and back.   a successful vacation

  We were accommodated for the third time at this wonderful hotel. The restaurant is refurbished, stylish, the reception and freshly painted rooms. The hotel also has a swimming pool that we did not use because we enjoyed the swimming pool at Athos Palace, which is part of the same G Hotel. We thank employees and employers for the way they make sure the tourists feel great. The food was always refreshed and diversified. The location is 300 m from the sea and 2 km from Kalithea a lively town.Because we felt really good, this year we will go on vacation to this hotel as well.
