    Beautiful but busy village

    rating02 Jul 2022

Visited as part of a day excursion from Lassi, arriving the best way - by boat. Didn't have long to explore after a tasty included lunch on the waterfront but it's very small. Had the vibe of a miniature ST Tropez, eager to boast about its celebrity clientele whilst being the prime attraction on Kefalonia for ordinary tourists like me. The promenade is a tight squeeze between restaurants and souvenir shops but veering 'off piste' is rewarded by some superb views of the harbour and mountains of Ithaki across the water. If travelling by coach, be aware that you need to tackle a steep hill between the harbour and car park

The village that survived the earthquake

    rating09 Dec 2019

A sleepy fishing village when we visited at the end of the season but, judging by the number of restaurants, no doubt extremely busy in summer. The only village on the island to escape the earthquake, it does have some older buildings and the area around the port is delightful. Definitely worth making the scenic trip up the coast to get here. We would like to return for a longer stay one day. (if there is a Hotel Paradise we didn't see it!)

    Wonderful seaside village

    rating16 Sept 2018

Visited this beautiful little village by the sea in Kefalonia in September.Situated at the northern area of the island it is a trip by road either over mountain roads or along the East or West coasts. Whatever route you take its breathtakingly beautiful.Fiskardo has many lovely waterside restaurants with super menus and food. Lit up at night it is just as pretty. There are many yachts alongside the restaurants but none spoil the views of dining at the waters edge. There are shops just behind the restaurant area down a quaint little path. This is a stunning little village that should be on every visiters list of places to visit.

A tumble of steep stone steps lead to a very beautiful harbour.

Fiskardo is a great place to stop and people watch. There are some great boutiques and good restaurants on the front. If its boats you are into then there are always the most exquisite yaughts moored just in front. Well worth a visit.
