    Lovely family run boutique hotel - super friendly

    We spent the days around our wedding staying in the hotel and Anastasia and her team could not have been friendlier or more attentive. The rooms are modern, well appointed and way above average for Lixouri, easy parking, great sea views , 30 second walk to the sea. Breakfast whilst basic was different every day, hand made and served with a smile and incredibly tasty. Great nights sleep, and just 5 mins from Lixouri town. If you want a premium night or two this is the place to stay. Very popular. We had a great time. Julie and Steve

    The hotel is basically OK.There's no swimming pool but we didn't expect one. The staff are friendly and polite.However, we had to request clean sheets, which weren't provided over the 7 days !We had several other minor gripes which were sorted eventually but it left us feeling thatif you complain then you are seen as the problem.

    We stayed at Aura Boutique Hotel from Aug 22 to 31, 2023. We are a family of 3 adults and we were given a very roomy suite on the ground floor. The beds were super comfortable (I really enjoyed the firm pillows); spacious bathroom with plenty of soap, shampoo, toilet paper); great smelling and absorbent towels; and an air conditioning system that not only worked, but kept the room nice and cold.The location of the hotel is right on "Fikia Beach". Fikia Beach is composed of fine, redish sand. It's a perfect beach for those who are not good swimmers and for children as it deepens very gradually - unlike many other beaches in Kefalonia. A set of 2 lounge chairs + 1 umbrella will set you back a mere 5 Euro!! Christina will be happy to take your orders for food and/or drink and deliver them to you. Prices are extremely reasonable.The very best part of staying at Aura is the ownership and staff. The owners, Anastasia and Dimitris, the owners, will make you feel at home from the very first "hello". Olga will take great care of your room every day. And Marina, with her cheerful disposition, will greet you every morning at breakfast.Breakfast has a good choice that changes every day, with one exception: the omelet. Delicious! You must absolutely have the fruit salad, topped with local yoghurt and honey.We cannot wait to go back!

    Nice hotel, very clean and with a very comfortable bed. Loved the pillows too! A variety of breakfast foods with a different savoury pastry option every morning, with friendly and attentive service. A mini supermarket nearby.

    The breakfast was outstanding, with great omelets, home-baked cakes such as orange cake, and some of the best spanakopita I've tasted. Anastasia was a warm and responsive host. She upgraded our room to a larger suite as she felt bad that we had missed one night due to a missed connection. She was also helpful in arranging transportation for us to tour the island during our brief stay.The room we had was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. On the down side, the shower was a little difficult to negotiate given the sloped ceiling on the third floor and my husband's 6 foot 2-inch stature. Also, there is really no place at the hotel/boutique inn to sit outside.
