  Fabulous break, very quiet as we went just before the season started. The hotel was great especially for families. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Fortis the bar tender around the main pool was amazing, wonderful drinks and he and the other person working there worked long hours and always had a smile and were happy to chat. If you want somewhere that you can walk out off on an evening this is not the hotel for you but as an all inclusive experience and a base to hire a car to explore the island then this is a perfect place

  Hotel lovely, clean, food goodBarman Fotis (Frankie) been absolutely brilliant, up for a laugh really helpful and makes great cocktails he made our holiday told us nice restaurants in town been great xxYou have to visit local restaurant on beach, owners will pick you up and drop you back to hotel it is called Vista they also serve good food and are very friendly x

  Just stayed here for 4 nights as a family of 4 (kids aged 5 and 6). When we first arrived the place was like a ghost town but we quickly learnt that we had just come at the start of the season so most of the island is quiet - we actually much preferred it this way! The pools were cold but I’d say that’s a standard thing everywhere you go and once you were in they were fine. The water park was great; the two guys working there were so friendly and happily turned the slides on for us when we arrived. One thing to note is that you’ll get told the drinks at the water park aren’t part of the all inclusive - however, if you have the red jet2 bands then they are included at the bar by the toilets (we didn’t learn this until our last day!). The room was just what we needed and it also had a fridge in it which was good for keeping bottled water in. If you want to hire a car then just ask at reception and they will ring the company and sort it for you - ours was delivered within 30 minutes of speaking to reception and driving on the island was really easy. The food and drinks would be the only thing that let this hotel down and make me believe it’s not of a 4 star standard. Not all of the drinks are included in the all inclusive which I was disappointed about as I was looking forward to having a nice cocktail but at €10 each I couldn’t justify it. The food was disappointing; there was chips available at every meal so I guess you wouldn’t starve but I was expecting more choice and for it to be cooked better given that it is a 4 star resort. The staff were all lovely, although with some there was a slight language barrier but I can’t hold fault at that given that we have travelled to their country. I did find there was less of a language barrier when we travelled the island though. The beach that is a 5 minute walk from the hotel is not great; unfortunately it’s covered in sea weed and just isn’t suitable for sun bathing on. Other people at the hotel did say there was another one about 30 minutes away that was nice but we didn’t explore it ourselves.   Ionian sea hotel in Kafalonua, Greece is a truly beautiful and welcoming place with an incredibly kind and dedicated team. The staff go above and beyond to make every moment special, and the reception team is simply outstanding—especially Mr. Angelos, whose help and care made our stay effortless and memorable.Traveling with our two young daughters, we were deeply touched by how the restaurant kindly stayed open longer just for us.   Great location and a nice quiet hotel!

  We had a great stay and enjoyed the quiet location. The beach was so lovely and it was nice to have a wonder in the mornings. The animation was great. My teenager has picked to go back again this year for one of our holidays so it can't be all bad ;)There are some negatives like everything in life but the positives defo outweigh the bad.
