  Highly recommend Vigla Village - great yoga retreat.

  Went on a fantastic yoga retreat at Vigla Village. Really enjoyed the swimming pool, the pine groves, the beaches and the fab breakfasts. Anna and Anna were both so helpful and kind. Apartments are basic but super clean and had all you needed for a short stay. The bed was a little hard and the pillows a little soft so maybe. tiny bit of refurbishment would be good but overall loved the placer and will come back. The views are just stunning. Tip - ask for the apartments that have a balcony with a view of the sea.

  Anna is the most hospitable host and cannot do enough for her guests, booking optional tours and making sure everything is fine. The apartment we stayed in was clean and adequate however it certainly needs updating like many of the other apartments. The beds are very hard and so are the pillows, was a better night sleep once I has a softer pillow.

  Such a beautiful place to stay. The host Anna is kind, generous, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for her. She goes above and beyond to make your stay a treat! The rooms are immaculate, the breakfast was so delicious, the apartments are clean and basic which only adds to the charm - you have the most amazing location and breathtaking views! I often just sat and looked at the sunrise. The beaches nearby are just beautiful, great restaurants nearby (try Isalos over the road - YUMMY!!!), 10 minutes walk to the nearest shop (get a car if you are self catering and want more variety as it only stocks the basics), apartments are all kitted our with all you need (cafetiere, teapot, kettle, toaster, oven, cooking equipment, etc). The pool is lovely and loads of places for quiet walks. Can’t wait to return!!

  A Greek escapism from city life

  I have just spent the mostly heavenly week at Vigla Village. Run by Anna and her family this beautiful hideaway becomes your home and a place to recharge. There are different apartments available depending on how many in your group. Each apartment has a little kitchen equipped for you to cook indoors if you'd rather sit on your porch and enjoy the spectacular stars at night. Otherwise there are a few local restaurants, but not many. There is also the little village which has a mini market, cafes and a restaurant which is worth the visit. Be prepared for a steep hill walk. However Anna will arrange for the local mini market to deliver your groceries to the resort. This amazing woman also organises taxi's, restaurant bookings, excursions on the yoga day off and anything you need so you don't have to think too hard! The resort is situated by the beach which is just a little cliff walk down to a secluded private beach. Yoga on a shoestring organise the twice daily yoga sessions, with mats, blocks, blankets provided so you don't have to carry in your luggage. We were blessed to have the beautiful Leela who woke us up with a dynamic morning practice and a relaxed us with a restorative evening practice. I cannot recommend this resort enough, it was truly the most magical week I have experienced for some time.

  Relaxing Yoga holiday

  Vigla Village is a quiet location overlooking the sea at Spartia Kefalonia. The apartments and villas are spaced out with views over the Mediterranian. Our 2 bed apartment was simply furnished with all appliances and crockery etc..supplied in the kitchen. The beds I believe like all in Greece tend to be hard! Unfortunately the bathroom/shower room did not have a tray so floor tended to get wet. Anna and her staff looked after us very well and were very responsive to any requests. They are also very knowledgeable about the Island and places to visit.
