  This restaurant was easily the worst one I ate in when visiting Balchik. Salad looked and tasted old and saggy. Pizza was not good either. Garlic bread was the only think I could even concider eating again. Drinks were fine but didnt help, cause we left the restaurant hungry.

  A failed week end in Balcik

  Booked a room via Booking.com based on the false pictures of the rooms...despite the price. Arrived on Friday did the check in and entered the room...a big disapointment!! The room was dirty, uncleaned, bad smelling, not mentioning the bathroom....awful!!!We spent though one nite in that room as the hotel was fully booked. I asked the manager to change the room hoping that we ll get a cleaner and better one...NO CHANCE!! We got another room with UNWANTED GUESTS...ANTS!!!...not mentioning the dirty floor. I notice that there is no wacuum cleaner in the whole so called hotel, meaning that the cleaning service uses only brooms...so funny!

  I will sum up our visit with one word - terrible.The hotel needs some serious renovations.We stayed om the 4 th floor and the whole place looked like it has been flooded. Our room smelled desgusting, the bathroom was dirty, evan the matress was sitting on an old one.Not to mention that the breakfast was barley edable, with some oily eggs and some fried hotdogs.

  I was check in 08/14/ - 08/19/2017 in room nr. 410 at 4-th floor.The room was whit 3 beds, verry clean, cosy and nice with partial sea view and partial mountagne view, clean sheets, A.C. and Tv. Was renovated recently.The bathroom was clean, the fan and hair draier was in function.The breakfast was verry good, with various kind of meat, salami, olive, eggs, pasta, marmelade, honney, oats and vegetables. Was 2 kind of noncarbonated drinks, tea, coffe and milk. In Balchik is 2 supermarkets, ATI and LIDI, with all you need for cheap meal in room and 1 market dounstairs in Lotos Hotel.The beach is with umbrella and sunbeds, a place for sheets (free zone), is with smood intrance in the sea and nice sand.This hotel is a good for quality / price.

  Enjoyable lunch on a hot summer day

  I am not in a position to review or comment all negative reviews about Lotos hotel as a property either as I never stayed there, however, I feel obliged to share notes with those Lotos restaurant visitors who seem to be disappointed as well. We had lunch on the open air stage last Saturday and we ordered the classic Shopska salad, grilled baby bluefish, Radler beer and a homemade flat loaf with cheese. All served fresh and well prepared except the cheese loaf which wasn’t baked properly in my opinion. So, we really enjoyed our lunch and the nice atmosphere & fast service as well. It all depends of what you choose to eat on a hot summer day, fresh Bulgarian salad and grilled fish would be a perfect option in my opinion.
