  Starting off by reminding people this is a 2star hotel, so do not expect luxury, but what you can expect is a very clean hotel with a lot of friendly staff.The rooms are basic but clean with the bedding changed every other day, the food was ample with something for everybody, the bar was again ample and the cocktails were very good (all free on A/I). The only downsides were the toppers on the sunbeds which could do with cleaning, and the location the hotel is isolated with a good 20min walk to the nearest village, but we went for a quiet time so it did not bother us, but may not suit everybody.The bus stops right outside the hotel to Rhodes Town and Lindos.Overall a good hotel mainly for older folk like my wife and IWould I return yes

  Amazing stay

  We loved this hotel. Lovely staff, very relaxed atmosphere, food really fresh and something for everyone. No rush to get a sun bed. The beer and wine was nice , we were not so keen on the other drinks. Afandou town is a 10 min walk and about 15 min to the beach. Definitely will return. Thank you for a fab holiday

  Lovely Family Run Hotel

  We had a lovely relaxing holiday in the Georgia family run hotel, Afandou. Rooms were basic but extremely clean and comfortable. Food was excellent with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. Drinks were good quality and well made by the excellent bar staff. There were plenty of sun beds for everyone and the pool area was immaculate. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and created a family atmosphere to the whole hotel. Greek night was great fun with the whole family and guests getting involved. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which is very convenient for trips to Rhodes Old Town and the charming Lindos at only €2.50 per person each way. We would highly recommend this lovely hotel which was great value for money.

  A Warm, Welcoming Family-Run Hotel

  I had a lovely stay at this family-run hotel. The family who owns it are absolutely wonderful — so friendly, welcoming, and helpful in every possible way.The atmosphere feels very relaxed and personal. I’d say it might cater a little more to an older crowd, though that could just be because I visited in October.If you choose to walk to the local beach, I definitely recommend wearing trainers — I had a little accident on the way back and really hurt my foot. As soon as I made it back to the hotel, the family were there right away to help with first aid, even though it didn’t happen on their property. They even checked in on me the next morning and throughout the week to make sure I was okay, which was so kind and thoughtful.One of the family members was even offering free lifts to the local village during a small festival, which really shows how much they go above and beyond for their guests. I also really enjoyed the weekly Greek night — such a good laugh and a great way to experience the culture.Getting around is easy with the local buses — they’re very cheap and reliable, especially compared to taxis which can be quite expensive.The only small downsides for me were the shower room, which could use a bit of an update, and the meals, which were quite similar each day (though still very tasty).Overall, I can’t thank the family enough for their kindness and hospitality. They truly made my stay special, and I’d happily return again!

  The dirtiest hotel i have ever been to

  We arrived at 11pm , grey haired man was not very friendly ,not very helpful,a right misery and rude as well , he pointed where e our room was , which he got wrong he said ground floor and it was 1st floor , no help if you need it and 3 flights of stairs to carry suitcase up,no problem to us which is a good thing,our room 210 looks like it had not been cleaned in a month , toilet seat was dirtiest i have ever seen, i adked for room to get cleaned it never happened in 2 weeks and stayed very dusty, towels and bed sheets had holes in them,the food is always cold , the gin was like paint stripper,the toilets by the pool never get a proper clean , toilet seat were rotten, 1 morning i had bacon it was stone cold like it had been in fridge since the day before, the bar staff were nice and the little lady in the restaurant As well, no entertainment except greek night on a friday if they feel like doing it,some of the food was disgusting as well as cold, the pool area was mostly dirty ,i seen the cleaners go into toilets mo as t days they were in there 2 minutes , nothing for children in this hovel, and the rear gate is always open with a real fast road 2 meters away, we went to a great taverna call the golfer 10 walk away great happy people and wonderful food and hot food which was a great night we went several times,around the pool are dirty sunbeds that never get a wash or clean it says no reserve but no one tales any notice and plonk their towel on at 7 am and go out for the day nothing done , to sum it up this hotel is an absolute disgrace as well as the disgusting drinks , give this hotel a miss at all costs
