    Had an absolute brilliant stay at this hotel recently. All staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was excellent and accommodation fabulous. It was really relaxing and location was ideal. Close to bars/restaurants and within walking distance to the new town or a 10min taxi journey which the hotel could also provide. I will definitely be back and would advise anyone to book a suite with a private pool for their stay. It was perfect 👌

    Recently returned from 9 nights at this marvelous hotel. It's my happy place when I visit Ixia. A car picks you up from the airport and in no time you're chilling at the bar!We had a Grand Suite with 2 bedrooms, jacuzzi bath and shower, kitchenette. A bottle of wine and a fruit platter was in the fridge as a greeting!!Breakfast was included in our price which had plenty of choice. As it was early season the pool was a little chilly to start with but as the weather improved so did the temperature!Joanna and her staff make you feel welcomed and chilled!!Love this hotel. Efcharisto.

    6th of my 6 five star hotels, and it was the less quality I got for the paid price. As it is only a 4 star hotel, it is totally overpriced. A tiny reception hard to find, one single person responsible for everything at the front desk, so I doubt that the luggage is under camera surveillance and the explanation for the room goes on high speed, of course noone will carry your suitcase, they put you and the suitcase in the elevator and the lady herself takes the steps. The elevator needs such a long time to react, 3 stars, perhaps it breaks with more than 1 passenger. The private pool is very tiny, an old kitchen, very bad sofa coussins and springs, 2 stars, bed mattress was the less good of my 6 hotels, 3-4 star mattress. No bathtub, but Nespresso machine and teamaker worked, whatever. Climate control with dry function worked very slowly that wet floors in the bathroom dried, why ? it was on maximum. Staff and guests at the pool bar did not say hello when I saluted them before my late swimming after arrival. There is only 1 exit to the pool at the side over a path, the exit in the middle to the outside goes through grass or brown ground, very very poorly made and narrow. Also people not allowed to access the area could walk by your window, as there is no control and everyone can enter next to main entry to the villas and have a walk at the beach passing you lying in your pool and looking into your apartment when your door is open. So close your curtains which are not wide enough, very poorly made, it will not darken totally. Area is very niceas it is as close to the beach as possible. In the swimming pool there was a chips packaging lying, I threw it out, no one else would have cleaned it. Total lack of personal not saying hello or seeming to be treated very decently. The waiter in the morning was so fast and 'hectic', impossible to even say more than the order as he moved away so fast. But the breakfast only à la carte had good Americano, a good greek coffee and my first ever iced coffee was good, even if I ordered the same as one of another table had and to have a look at it would have been too much. I still wonder if she had a Cappuccino or a Café latte. The surroundings are nice too for walking and you access to Miramare hotel without any barriere but you cannot have a swin in their pool. The hotel has 2 pools, one where there was a water aerobic with party music. For me it is likea 4 star camping and I think there are a lot of guests from the Netherlands. Very poor facilities, no hotel lobby or whatever, the internet corner or reading corner is just a joke and deserves 2 stars, tv has 25 channels with 10 channels of only music, 1 german tv channel working (Sat 1), a total joke 2-3 stars. The lady in the reception working for the first year in the hotel from afternoon, Maria, is really friendly and we had some nice talking. I think the other lady is nice too but is much more stressed because of the hotel policy. Instead of 350 eur I paid for my oldfashioned room, I should have paid 220 eur because of the private pool and because of the fantastic sea view I would add 30 eur on top. So it was 100 eur too expensive, 30% over so like so many here on Tripadvisor said, it deserves 4 stars. Have a look at the so called bruschetta, some white soaked fabric baguette with some tomatoe dices on it without any flavour which I did not eat and had to order some ham to have something to put on my bread. Really poor breakfast à la carte and of course no freshly pressed orange juice, wo would press it. I think that the mostly chinese personal is well underpaid. This group of hotels won't get any chance from me in the future.

    Disappointing stay- not a 5 star!

    We booked an Executive Club Suite expecting a 5-star standard, but unfortunately, the reality fell far short. The décor was outdated, the room felt dark and basic, and the cleanliness left much to be desired. The website’s images are highly misleading, presenting a far more polished impression than what we encountered on arrival.Despite marketing themselves as family-friendly, the resort does not cater well to children. There is no dedicated kids’ menu, children under 12 are not allowed in the main pool, and the “kids’ pool” is extremely small.The atmosphere was also disappointing – staff appeared disengaged and unwelcoming, which added to the overall negative experience. We had booked for five nights but felt compelled to leave after just one night and relocate to another 5-star property nearby that delivered on its promises.The only positive is the location, which is undoubtedly beautiful and likely the reason for its current status. As frequent international travellers, we cannot understand how this property can legitimately market itself as a true 5-star resort.I don’t understand what I’m missing and why the reviews are glowing. I do have a suspicion that guests are “encouraged” to leave positive reviews.

    A very high quality, well run hotel with excellent staff

    We booked a Deluxe Bungalow Suite with Private Pool for four nights in July and had very high expectations after reading most of the reviews on Google, Tripadvisor and Booking.com. It was a great pleasure of getting to agree with all the positive reviews, this hotel is excellent even though we are very used to staying in five star resorts around the world.We had a couple of minor issues on arrival - due to some misunderstanding the driver booked through the hotel (but not hotel staff) was not at the airport at the right time and I thought the air conditiniong could have been more efficient after the first night. However we were very pleased with our bungalow, it was exactly as pictured on the hotel’s website and possibly even slightly better (pool bigger etc).On our first morning on the way to the excellent breakfast we met Athena (hope the spelling is right!), whom I understood to be the customer service manager of the hotel. She had the habit of touring the hotel grounds for about 10 hours each day (even weekends) speaking to guests, finding out if there’s anything to be improved and most importantly acting based on the feedback. This kind of service we had not experienced anywhere else on our journeys. She already knew about the problems with the inbound transportation and promised (and kept it) a reasonable compensation for it and promised a technician would have a look at the air conditioning. Soon we noticed her taking a technician to our bungalow (she seemed to have a habit of joining the technician, probably to make sure the issue is resolved properly) and after that returning to explain to us what the problem was (a fuse). A very good example of how to properly address your guests’ issues (there will almost always be some issues when staying in a hotel, what matters is how they are dealt with).As mentioned the a’la carte breakfast was of very high quality and the setting next to the sea excellent. We did not have a chance to try the dinner, but most likely it is as good as mentioned in other reviews. The drinks were fabulous, very high quality and reasonably priced with regards the quality. We also liked the snacks etc at the pool, all high quality and quickly delivered.What was quite special at this hotel was observing all the staff do their work so well - as well as each individual could, not just the minimum effort to get the job done. Something has clearly been done right in recruiting and training the employees and keeping them motivated even though they worked long hours in the busiest season of the year.The location of the hotel is quite handy, 15 minutes drive from the airport and a similar trip with a car/bus to Rhodes center. Also many restaurants nearby, however as mentioned in many other reviews, the hotel’s restaurant is probably the best in the area.We will definitely be going back to this hotel!
