  The hotel itself is modern, clean, and comfortable, and the rooms meet the expected standards of a 5-star property. Staff are professional and the interior facilities are well maintained.However, the location is a clear drawback. The surrounding streets are very narrow, which makes access inconvenient, especially with luggage or by car. Public transportation is not close, so getting around Istanbul requires extra time and planning.Overall, it is a good hotel in terms of accommodation quality, but the location significantly affects the experience. This explains why, despite being rated as a 5-star hotel, it does not receive consistently strong reviews.

  The Mercure shares a building with the Pullman. It is located in a soulless part of Istanbul that is quite a distance from the tourist areas. There is very little around the area that is accessible by walking. The room itself was a good size, however it was maintained poorly. The bathroom door didn’t close, the carpet was stained and worn. There was no wi-fi in the hotel for the duration of our 2 night stay. There would be better options than this I am sure.

  This is the squalid hotel Turkish airlines puts you up in if you have a long layover. The only good thing was that we did not have to pay for this crappy hotel. I think it calls itself a 5 star hotel. It shares a building and buffet with the adjoining Pullman hotel (which looked better). The rooms are appalling and poorly maintained. The bathroom door was broken and couldn't be shut properly and there were issues with the shower. Since we spent most of our time sleeping it was bearable. This hotel is located in a rather boring part of the city so you can't really walk out and look around. Never book this hotel for yourself if you have a choice!!!!

  WARNING, they ask for a deposit of 150 euros and do not return it. I feel robbed by them. At the time of checkout, the employee opened an envelope, showed my card receipt, and said that they would issue a refund. Trusting them, I left and waited. It's been over a month, and nothing has been done, even with emails sent.

  We stayed at this hotel for two nights as part of our tour group. We were on 4th floor and wifi didn’t work so had to keep going to the lobby to use. There were no face or hand towels and no spare pillows, no iron or ironing board, kettle did not work and tv remote did not work. Luckily we were only there for two nights but unfortunately will be returning there for one night before flying home. The hotel was also situated far from amenities so not much to see or do without taking a taxi or Uber. I would not recommend this hotel if you had another option.
