    Mixed review

    rating25 May 2026

Mixed review with good points and bad points. We were in a room that was along the main walk through, sleep quality was so poor and after 3 night we asked to move (after a night of listening to a group of ladies arguing outside), the hotel reservation team very quickly obliged with the same type of Junior suite room. It became apparent that there is very little soundproofing, and is it just people don’t care how much noise they make early hours of the morning? Junior suites have no wardrobe space you only have a hanging rail with 10 coat hangers, there are no chest of draws, so we lived out of the cases.Food was the same each day but nice. We were on half board basis and you were able to swap between lunch and dinner, this took place at the Buddha bar. The same menu every lunch time & and a slightly varied at dinner time. Staff were very polite and the hotel was spotless but there is a walk way by the small pool the continually smelled of cat urine. What surprised me was the usual sunbed hoggers that put there towels out early and reserved beds, we were in Santorini not Spain. Would I go back to Santorini probably not it felt like it’s been over in instagrammed. We have done a lot of Greece and this was a disappointment.

    Noisy room, not enough loungers

    rating16 May 2026

We stayed with friends and had a great time. The hotel is in a great location, with easy access to the promenade with an array of restaurants and bars.We did have an issue with our first room as there was a lot of traffic noise which kept us awake most of the night. The next day we politely asked if we could move rooms due to the noise. The receptionist was totally unsympathetic and defensive, and said ‘well, there is nothing we can do about that unless you pay to upgrade’. We had actually already upgraded to a superior room when we booked! She did offer to speak to her manager and we were then moved to a much quieter room. So it ended ok, but it would have made such a difference if she had just said ‘I’m really sorry about that, I will see what I can do’. We also noticed that both the rooms were virtually identical to those 2 of our friends stayed in although they had only paid for standard rooms! Perhaps they were ‘upgraded’ for free if there were spare superior rooms available so maybe that is just pot luck, but it did seem odd.Whilst the hotel has several pools, there were not enough loungers in the sunshine for the number of guests. If you want to lie in the shade you are spoilt for choice! We also noticed that the lifeguard stopped guests from moving loungers (for example to be in the sun or in the shade). We’ve never experienced this anywhere before and it seemed very odd, as if they were focused more on the loungers being in a tidy row than on the guests being comfortable!Other than that, the hotel is very nice. Very clean, well-maintained and in a great location. This was our first stay in Santorini; we loved it and will definitely return to Kamari but not to this hotel.

    BEWARE economy rooms

    rating15 May 2026

We originally booked an economy room with loveholidays, after seeing negative reviews re lack of storage space I emailed hotel who replied we could swop to standard room which was same size but more storage. When we arrived was shown the economy room which has one drawer only and no where to store toiletries or underclothes etc. YOU WILL BE LIVING OUT YOUR SUITCASE so went back to reception and to get told no standard rooms available so would have to pay 140euros for a premier room( my daughter checked the website and standard rooms were available) during the week we saw lots of people rejecting the economy and paying extra. This is the only hotel I stayed in where you are not allowed to move your sunbeds around if in the shade. A guard walks around and tells you off so basically the sunbeds around the pool are in the shade most of the morning The breakfast was definitely not 4* unless you get there before 9 the food is cold and limited.
