  Beautiful view!!

  Visited Santorini with my husband for the first time. Looking at the reviews for Alta vista the people were mentioning about the amazing views from the suites. That’s very true! Amazing views! And very relaxing. The suites are nice but needs some improvements and renovations. Staffs were very welcoming and helpful! Special thanks to Giannis for all the support. Very professional and welcoming! We had very easy access to the shopping streets! Restaurants around and 15 min walk to Fira high street were are more shops and plenty restaurants! Overall our stay was amazing! Santorini is beautiful wherever you stay but is more beautiful with an amazing view.

  We’ve just had a lovely week in this hotel, having been unnecessarily concerned when we read the latest reviews before arriving.The location is amazing, not only for the views (including sunsets from the terrace), but also handy to stroll down to Fira or up to Imerovigli.Breakfast – choose as much as you want from a list of cold and hot food, drinks etc, all delivered to you.The room and pool cleaned daily.A lot of the sunbeds and umbrellas have been replaced (or were working fine). I do agree with other reviewers that this isn’t a ‘luxury’ hotel, but given the positive points above I think it’s good value, and would recommend it to anyone.   The entire property feels outdated and poorly maintained. Bad Service. Love Suite is significantly overpriced.

  Room:The room felt cold and impersonal, with no decoration, no pictures, and a clear lack of attention to detail. It was poorly maintained and completely lacked charm. In the bathroom, we noticed black spots that resembled mold – definitely not a pleasant sight. Furthermore, we did never receive pool towels.Terrace:The terrace was in poor condition. Everything felt outdated and neglected, with no sense of style or atmosphere. There was no view at all – just a blank wall directly in front of us when lying on our sun lounger on our terrace. So this actually could be anywhere and gives you no Santorini vibes. There is also no privacy on the private terrace: for example, guests from the upper suites sit on the edge of the pool right above the Love Suite terrace, as they themselves have no seating or lounging area by the pool. Additionally, the cleaning staff’s supply room opens onto the Love Suite terrace, and the cleaner frequently walks across the terrace.Breakfast:Breakfast was disappointing. Unless you eat omelets, the offering is extremely limited: one slice of bread, a tiny piece of cake, a glass of orange juice, some watermelon, and filter coffee or tea. Despite being three guests, we only received breakfast portions and plates/cutlery for two the first day. On top of that, the table was far too small to accommodate more than two people comfortably. But the Love Suite should be able to accommodate up to 4 people.Pool:The pool was a highlight – spacious, clean and offering a beautiful view. But then came the next issue: it’s not possible to relax by the pool on a sun lounger, as the four loungers and two umbrellas belong actually to the two suites next to the pool and they therefore occupy or reserve the sun loungers day and night. So, if you relax on their loungers by the pool (the hours between check-out and check-in of others), you get scolded from the new guests. Property/Overall Condition:The entire property feels outdated and poorly maintained. With some investment, new paint, new furniture and care, it could have potential, but in its current state, it falls far short of expectations and Love Suite is significantly overpriced. What we had anticipated as the highlight of our trip (also due to its prize) unfortunately turned out to be the lowlight. To conclude, it didn’t meet our expectations at all, and the price doesn’t match the quality.   Very disappointed, not a good value for the price

  Stayed here in 2021 and had amazing time, which is why we decided to come again to spend our babymoon. Now the vibe in the hotel was completely different and it felt like the management has changed or they just don’t care about anything anymore. The price was still high so not value for money, only good thing is the view. Go to different hotel, I left home feeling sad that I chose this hotel instead of something else and there are plenty of options on the island :(- Broken and dirty furniture. Sunbeds so worn out that they will collapse any minute. Umbrella hold together with duct tape, very dangerous as it was windy- The place needs serious renovation, paint is peeling off everywhere, white walls are yellow, moldy smell in the room, bubblegum in the ceiling of our room- No complimentary water in room anymore, we were told to go to the market to buy it ourselves- No bathrobes provided anymore and also needed to use same towels during our 3 day stay- No welcome drink provided anymore- No help with carrying our luggage. There were A LOT of steps and I couldn’t have managed to carry the luggage if I would’ve been traveling alone- And the cherry on the top: Breakfast was very VERY bad!!!! We did’t get to choose what we wanted anymore. We got served bread & butter, cereal & milk and few pieces of watermelon. We got plain, tasteless fried egg after complaining to the breakfast lady (who didn’t speak english) that there was no warm food or protein. Nothing fresh or tasty, no meat or cheese products that you can see in older photos. Last time there was even champagne served, so this was just ridiculous..   Renovation and services highly needed

  Let’s start with the nice things: the view and the position are excellent. The staff is really nice. But that is it. The whole place needs a serious renovation: rusty and limestoned bathroom, mold smell, cracks on the walls, umbrellas fixed with duck tape, broken beach-chairs, dirty glasses, just to mention some. The services are null: reception is not opened always during the day, the pool towels are “upon request”, no real help to find out the bus schedule to the port, anything in the mini-fridge, neither a bottle of water!!
