Daughter came on a solo holiday!

    rating25 Apr 2026

I am reviewing this as a mum of a daughter who has just taken her first ever solo holiday abroad. When she told us she had booked a holiday on her own we were apprehensive. She has been to Costa Teguise many times, so the area is very familiar to her. But she has never stayed on this side of town. She had one week there and returned home today. She has had one of the best weeks of her life. The hotel is a bit further out than she realised it was going to be. That meant a bit of walk each day (20 minutes each way) and no supermarket on the doorstep. She got in a routine of walking g down each time, which she really enjoyed, then getting a taxi back. It was only around 3.5 euros. Her room was huge. She sent us pictures laughing that the tv was so far away she could barely see it!She was happy she was up higher as that made her feel safer than being on the ground floor. One or two negatives. She said the pool appeared dirty. There was a layer of grime over the top which could’ve easily been removed by someone with a big net, which many hotels do. Also when she returned from a day out on the day the room had been cleaned, (this was only once in a week) the maid had left the bathroom window wide open. This is along a walkway and anyone could have come in. That unnerved her a little. Luckily it was all ok. The staff on reception were very nice. This has given her the confidence to try it again. She felt safe and comfortable. And the mattress was great! She said she would definitely return. So from a mum I’d like to say thankyou for giving my daughter a fantastic holiday.

    An enjoyable stay. Would recommend.

Even though the location wasnt central we didn’t mind the walk which only took 30 mins into the centre and that was a slow walk by two OAPs. Occasionally took the 11am free bus from the hotel but always walked back. There are supermarkets and restaurants 10 - 15 mins walk. Apartment was so large with everything needed for our 10 night stay. Fabulous comfy beds and TV with 4 English channels. Hotel reception staff were very helpful and replaced our coffee machine immediately, not just the cracked jug. Rooms cleaned, towels and bedding changed every four days. We asked for extra pillows and duvets which were brought to us immediately by the lovely gentleman on reception who was always so helpful. Sadly can’t remember his name.We caught the local bus to Famara which is a beautiful village with a stunning coastline. Buses arent frequent so be warned. On our return journey we got off at Teguise but missed the bus back and as they’re only every few hours we thought we’d get a taxi. Fortunatley but after wandering round for what seemed like hours we flagged down a passing one which cost us 20€ but we were grateful.Sadly not enough hotel sunbeds but are there ever!!! For most days we didn’t hang around at the hotel. Our balcony didn’t get the afternoon sun either but we did have a fabulous sea view. It would be a bonus if the hotel sold large water bottles as it’s a bit of a drag up hill carrying one. (Even though a taxi was only 4 or 5 €). A small shop as many hotels have would be a bonus. We would recommend and would certainly stay again. Costa Teguise is now one of our favoured resorts. Thank you to the staff and guests who we chatted to for making our stay so enjoyable. 😊

Nice clean and relaxed environment - Great place for a break away.

    rating03 Apr 2026

Travelled here as a family of 6 across two rooms - Cant fault the place - Clean poolside, clean rooms, maid service every 4 days, friendly staff. Great thing about this place is that it's nice and relaxed, they don't fall out with you for eating or drinking items bought from elsewhere around the poolside. Pool bar food and drink is great and reasonably priced. As many have said it's a little way out of the main hustle and bustle but daily free bus to beach area is nice and we walked every evening with young children into the centre (about 20 minute walk). Pool was very chilly but it's early in the season. 15-20 minute transfer from airport which was great. Supermarkets reasonabally close (Big Lidl only 4 Euros in a taxi) Not specific to the hotel but the airport in Lanzarote is terrible on Thursdays and Sundays - 4 hours to get out the airport after landing due to new fingerprint and scanning so be careful arriving on these days. Would I go back to these apartments yes definitely we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice enough but too far out.

    rating14 Feb 2026

The apartment was roomy and clean although a little dated. Maid came in every 4th day. There are no lifts and a lot of steps and stairs. Costa Teguise itself is lovely and we'll definitely return but not to these apartments. They are too far from the town or beach. Admittedly there is a free bus laid on at 11 and 4pm and just the one back at 4;10. it's a 20 minute walk to actually get to somewhere to eat or drink and walking back is uphill. There was wi-fi but not once did we actually get the Internet. There was some English TV which was handy as we couldn't be bothered to walk all the way down to town of an evening. The Aqua Park is walkable if you've got kids. The area is nice and quite with lots of pretty cacti.
