Location

This complex is located on the western side of Santorini, high above sea level. Opposite Imerovigli lie the three volcanic isles of Thirasia, Palea Kammeni and Nea Kammeni. The apartments are located on the high cliffs of Imerovigli, Santorini, and lie above the majestic Caldera, its volcano and volcanic islets and the deep blue Aegean Sea. Fira, Santorini’s capital, is some 2 km away.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 12 suites and 16 apartments. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park (no extra charge). Further services and facilities include a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A bicycle hire service gives guests the opportunity to explore the surrounding area independently. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, tea/coffee station and oven. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a CD player and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Slippers are included. The bathrooms have a shower, a bathtub and a whirlpool bath. A hairdryer and bathrobes are provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

Sport

The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. For guests who wish to keep active, cycling/mountain biking and horse riding are available. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy canoeing, snorkelling and diving. After an eventful day, guests can work out and recharge in the gym. There is a wellness area with a spa, a sauna, a hammam and hydrotherapy treatments and, for an additional fee, a steam bath and massage treatments. Activity coordinators organise an entertainment programme for adults and children.

Meals

The hotel includes a restaurant and a bar. A continental breakfast and dinner are served every day. Special meals, including diet meals, are also available. The hotel also offers special catering options.

    My wife and I had an amazing experience at Astra. The views, facilities, and amenities are top tier, but it was the service that put it over the top. Highly recommended and we hope to come back soon!

    Breathtaking Views, Exceptional Service, and a Truly Memorable Stay

    We stayed at Astra Suites for three nights in one of their more economical suites, and the experience exceeded every expectation.Our suite was a loft-style studio with a cozy living area, wet bar, and bathroom on the lower level, and an open upstairs loft with a king bed. The space is narrow but very tall, designed with calming, serene tones that make it feel peaceful and comfortable. What truly sets the room apart, though, is the view. From the moment you open the front door to stepping onto your private veranda, you’re greeted with uninterrupted caldera views, just endless water and sky. You can even see Oia off to the right. It’s simply breathtaking.The location is ideal, perched directly in front of Skaros Rock, the medieval castle area, with easy access to scenic hikes toward Fira, Oia, and Skaros itself. It’s perfect if you want both tranquility and the ability to explore.Breakfast each morning was a highlight. You fill out a menu the night before with your preferred delivery time, and it’s served right on your private patio. The selection is generous, we were able to choose multiple entrées per person along with breads, cakes, jams, and more. Everything was fresh, varied, and absolutely delicious.One thing to note, the outdoor breakfast area is shared between neighboring rooms, so if the suite next door is occupied, you may be dining fairly close to other guests. We were fortunate to have that space to ourselves during our stay, which made it feel even more private.The hotel sits in what feels like one of the most privileged spots along the caldera. There are only a handful of properties in this exact area, and the views here are truly next level. It’s hard to overstate just how stunning and unforgettable they are.The on-site restaurant offers very good food, though it is definitely on the pricey side, you’re paying for that incredible view. That said, there are plenty of other dining options and small markets just a short walk up the steps.What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. The evening team, especially Kate and her colleague, along with Katharina in the mornings, were outstanding. They were attentive, warm, and incredibly helpful, always ready with recommendations and genuinely focused on making our stay special.We honestly don’t have a single negative thing to say. This was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and we would absolutely return.

    Fantastic stay at Astria Suites. We were well taken care of by the detail oriented reception and staff. Private transfer to and from ferry and airport were very convenient. Our room was inviting, quaint and our view could not be beat. Sunsets are stunning, and all we had to do was sit on our lounge chairs enjoying the view. Breakfast delivered to our room and had the choice of inside/outside eating. The spa area was relaxing. My daughter enjoyed her massage. Thanks for a memorable stay, Astria.     We stayed 4 nights at Astra suites. Be prepared to walk stairs and hills, everywhere we went required a climb from our room to the square or the trail. Worth every step!! Beautiful views and excellent care by the staff. Highly recommend The Astra suites in Santorini.

    George and the Astra Suites staff are amazing, professional, wonderful and happy people. We spent a lot of time staying at Astra Suites, utilizing just a few of the amenities offered - mainly the pool and room service. If we are able to travel again to Santorini, we will most definitely stay with here!We couldn't have been happier with EVERYTHING during our stay. We were treated like royalty - every minute of staying here. I almost expected to be let down at least once, but that never happened. Hands down, this was the best vacation we've ever had, and Astra Suites was a major part of this!
