    traditional b&b

    rating14 Jul 2019

we arrived late but there was no mistaking our 2 be apartment it had a large sign on door with key inside on table, next morning all 4 of us had breakfast at 5 euros each which was fair for decent continental breakfast. had a problem with shower head but Paolo the manager fixed very quickly. just needs to be finished off as some electric need finishing( not dangerous). as for cleaning and general condition of hotel very good, the swimming pool area is 1st class. now tp Paolo what a class act ,many languages, great help organising taxi's and trips , must also mention Matheus (mathew) ,over enjoyed trip for family wedding and holiday ,but the island needs to get infrastructure right before attracting many more holiday makers.thanks again to Paolo for can do attitude

    Nice little hotel

    rating25 Jun 2019

Bluelife is a very nice hotel, but there is nothing extravagant about it. The rooms are small and simple, kept in traditional white and blue colours. The beds are not the most comfortable. But it is very clean. We found the small fridge placed in the room very useful. The bathroom is also very small, and we had a good laugh about the toilet seat. It could not stay up on its own, so a little patch of velcro was added. The breakfast at the hotel is fine, but not the most interesting and then it costs 5€. We got our own foods and ate breakfast on the little bench and table just outside of our room. The staff is very friendly, even if most of them are not comfortable speaking English. Paolo, the owner, is very helpful. The reception is manned from 08 am - 11 pm. but we arrived very early in the morning, so Paolo made sure that we could find the key and lock ourselves in when we arrived. We were very grateful for this. Our shower didn't drain probably, so the bathroom overflowed a couple of times. As soon as the staff was made aware of this, they came and fixed it, and we did not have any issues with this for the rest of our stay. Unfortunately there is a lot of noise, when you are trying to sleep. The hotel is placed right next to a busy road, where trucks, cars and mopeds drive by at all hours of the night. The fridge was also very noisy, and some night I had to use my earplugs in order to fall asleep. The hotel is placed sort of in the middle of everything, so there is walking distance to both the beach and a supermarket, and a car rental places is placed almost opposite of the hotel.

Beautiful hotel , A little remote

    rating24 May 2019

We have spent 3 days at this hotel , I emailed ahead because our flight didn't arrive to early morning and the reception closes at 11pm, I received an email from Paolo stating our room would be room 2 and the keys would be in the room on arrival , I have to admit arriving early and being no one on reception could be distressing for anyone travelling who hadn't encountered this before but we were fine, the hotel is decorated to a lovely standard very quirky and spacious rooms , we found that our problem was the road was very noisy and getting into town along this busy road was hazardous at times , very few pavements and my wife bruised her arm and leg on two occasions on the wall along the road , Paolo is a gentleman and when we decided to move to another hotel by the beach, he drove us to it , his knowledge of Santorini is amazing , but when we return we will stay nearer the beach in Perrisa .

    Disgusting

    rating22 May 2019

We arrived to this hotel late Thursday night and there was nobody to receive us into the hotel. We were forced to roam the streets for hours trying to find someone nearby who could help us but there was no telephone numbers at the resort we were supposed to be staying at and no where near by that could help us in anyway. The hotel was surrounded by nothing but private apartments with no amenities and in the end we had to flag a taxi down who then had to take us to another apartment so we had somewhere to take us in for the night. I lost so much faith in the hotel I booked to stay somewhere completely different for the duration of our holiday. I would not stay in this hotel if someone paid me to. BluelifeS, Owner at Blue Life Hotel, responded to this review Dear Sirs, If you verify the details of your reservation you will notice that it is well specified in the description of the Bluelife that the reception it is open from 07:00 am to 23:00.Besides that, on our reception door that is well lit by the pool, there was a message at your name indicating your room number and its location in the building, Your name was on the door of the room as well that was closed but unlocked with the key inside. On the reception door exactly on the left of the message we left for you, it is written the telephone number to call in case of need after 23:00 and until 07:00 am.When contacted by your agency concerning your arrival we sent to them the pictures of everything I have described above. We never received further news from you and we kept the room for the whole week not having received any cancellation either.Normally our guests are informed about the reception opening time, that is well advertised on our web site as well, (santorinibluelife.com), and contact us when they are supposed to arrive after 23:00 and in 5 years of operation we never had any problem welcoming our guests.I am very sorry for your discomfort but I do not think that "disgusting" is a fair word to describe our facility.Best RegardsPaolo Ceria

    Value for Money

    rating24 Sept 2018

We were in Santorini for a family wedding so in all fairness were on a budget as this was not our main holiday. This island doesn’t really do budget but with this B & B we found it. Which is why we weren’t dismayed by the small shower / bathroom or the lack of storage or the wardrobe being a branch across the corner of the room. It was very clean and perfectly adequate. What made it extra special was the attention we received from Paolo and his lovely assistant. They were willing to help with absolutely anything and knew all there was to know about the island. We were lucky enough to have a room at the back which meant we weren’t subjected to traffic noise. But a bonus of being so close to the road was that we were near a bus stop so we had no trouble getting around the island. Would definitely stay there again. It had all we needed. Just remember that it’s classed as a B & B not a hotel so you get what you pay for folks.
