    Old Dutch Castle

    rating18 Apr 2026

The Manor Hotel Amsterdam is a beautiful historic building in classic Dutch style, perfectly located in a strategic central area. My daughter and I always felt safe exploring the city, even in the evening, thanks to the tram stops right in front of the hotel—lines 19 and 14 take you to the city center in just minutes. The rooms and interiors are modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed, with high-quality furnishings and elegant upholstery. The reception staff were incredibly kind and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed to enjoy Amsterdam at its best.I highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service, including a great in-room coffee machine with everything needed for a perfect cup of coffee or tea, and its strong commitment to sustainability by reducing unnecessary waste.

From the minute I walked in, they cared

    rating11 Apr 2026

Ester was amazing! I booked the wrong week for business and she was super helpful in helping change my booking and told me to relax and take my time. Her team at the front desk were all full of smiles, could not do enough and I even got given a complimentary upgrade despite my own error. Such a wonderful experience on the back of a day travelling and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, fresh and friendly vibe from the minute you walk into the lobby. Thank you Ester and team! I’m unbearable noise

    rating20 Feb 2026

We stayed at the Manor House in Amsterdam for three nights, a quick getaway from London with my wife. Overall, the hotel had a nice, clean room, and we loved the location—it was really convenient for exploring the city. However, our stay was seriously disrupted by loud drilling and construction work right above our room. On the second day, around 5 p.m., it started, and despite us asking the reception to stop it, the noise continued until 9 p.m. This repeated on the third night as well—no matter how much we complained, the hotel staff couldn’t stop it. While the hotel itself is lovely, this constant noise really took away from our experience. If you stay here, just hope that there’s no construction happening during your visit. Nicole Lagas, General Manager at The Manor Amsterdam, responded to this review Dear Guest,We are very, very sorry that your stay was disrupted by the ongoing construction. We completely understand how upsetting this must have been, and we are truly saddened that it affected your experience. Please note that the renovation, with detailed information available on our website, is now close to completion and only takes place during working hours on weekdays. Once finished, our historic building will shine even brighter, and we sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a peaceful and truly enjoyable stay.

    Great location but tired hotel

    rating17 Feb 2026

Location: It is an excellent location with easy access to the centre of Amsterdam via train from Muiderpoort and tramlines close by. There are plenty of places to eat locally within walking distance - we liked Pazzi Oost and De Biertein. There is also a supermarket and bakeries nearby.Hotel: It is an impressive building and all the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. The hotel was undergoing renovation in the bar / restaurant so there was no access to those facilities during our stay which was a shame and not made known when booking. The room was ok - dated decor and a bit dusty in places. The worst thing was the constant smell of drains from the bathroom that was horrible. The bathroom fan didn’t turn off so was a bit noisy at night. Generally the room was quiet with the usual bumps and sounds from nearby neighbours- I would suggest getting a top floor room overlooking the courtyard instead of the main road. There was a kettle and Nespresso machine in the room and also a fridge (but it wasn’t cold).Summary - The location worked well for us but the hotel is fairly tired and is not a 4 star hotel in my opinion. Not sure I would stay here again. Nicole Lagas, General Manager at The Manor Amsterdam, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are very sorry that your stay did not fully meet your expectations. We are delighted to share that after a long-awaited renovation, the “diamond of Amsterdam” - our historic hotel - is now shining even brighter. With updated facilities and refreshed rooms, we would be thrilled to welcome you back to experience the full comfort, charm, and vibrant atmosphere of our hotel and its excellent location. We hope you will give us another chance to provide a truly enjoyable stay.

    An Unexpected 5-Star Experience

    rating26 Jan 2026

I recently finished a week-long stay at The Manor, and I absolutely fell in love with this hotel. I wasn’t originally supposed to stay here (long story as to how I got redirected). Not knowing anything about the hotel I was hesitant at first, but once I got inside I never looked back. The lobby of this hotel is as sleek and modern as the exterior is historic and grandiose. Every single member of the staff I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful, and my room was huge by European standards and very comfortable. My stay included breakfast (not sure if everyone’s does), and it was a fantastic spread. Lots of variety of both hot and cold items, and always plenty of room to find a table even when the room was bustling. The hotel is a half-block walk to a tram stop, so you can get anywhere in the city quickly and easily. Lots of restaurants in easy walking distance, too. Great neighborhood.I’d never heard of The Manor until a couple of weeks ago. Now that I’ve experienced it, I hope to stay there again on future trips to The Dam. Nicole Lagas, General Manager at The Manor Amsterdam, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that your stay exceeded expectations and that you enjoyed our rooms, breakfast, and convenient location. Our team will be delighted to know their efforts made such a positive impression. We can’t wait to welcome you back on your future trips to Amsterdam!
