    Outstanding Caring Hotel staff but hotel needs a refresh

    First of all the hotel staff was exceptional. The front desk team, the housekeeping staff, and the exceptional staff member in the breakfast area named Lisa who went above and beyond to ensure the breakfast and dining areas were clean and well stocked every day during our stay. She was so pleasant and provided an exceptional customer experience. The only negative thing about my stay is the hotel needs a refresh, especially the guest rooms. Otherwise this was a super stay thanks to your wonderful, caring staff.

    We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, our room was on the 9th floor, it was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and we loved having a full-size fridge as part of the kitchen area. The location of this hotel is about 1.5 miles from Broadway which with traffic is about 10 minutes by car, 12-15 minutes by bike and 30 minutes walking. We used the Lime e-bikes and Scooters to get the Broadway which was fun and convenient. There is also a nearby strip of bars in Mid-town on Broadway that are very fun, but not as hectic as the main part of Broadway, this area of bars/restaurants is about 3-5 minutes’ walk from the hotel.The hotel is connected to the Springhill, you can use the connecting elevator to use their well-appointed pool and gym. The breakfast at both The Residence Inn and Springhill both offer eggs, omelets, sausage, waffles, yogurts, muffins, fruit, coffee, juices and more. I went to each breakfast each morning to get stuff to bring to our room, there were slight variations of items at each hotel. We greatly appreciated the free breakfast by the time we ate it in our room it was more of a lunch and then we'd eat dinner out.Late night snack – there is a fast-food place called The Cook Out directly across the street from the Springhill side of the hotel. The fast-food place has really good burgers, chicken, hot dogs, sides and a huge list of milk shakes. The food is really good, affordable and comes out really fast. We literally went there 3 times for late night eats since they are open until 2am or later. 10/10 recommend.The location is further out of the main tourist area, but we didn't mind using the e-bikes and the cost saving compared to hotels in the main area was great helped us afford other things while on the trip. I would suggest this hotel to anyone who is willing to walk, bike or Uber to the main area. I would stay here again

    Rooms were clean but somewhat dated with worn furniture in the kitchen and tile coming up on the kitchen floor. The room must not be level either, as the kitchen drawers open themselves. The front desk staff weren't the friendliest either. Most of the time they never greeted us when passing by. While they do offer a free hot breakfast, it's the same food every day so if you are here for a few nights, it gets old. The internet in our living area wasn't the best so the internet tv (Netflix) only worked sporadically. The tvs in the bedrooms worked fine though so that was odd. Someone came to check it out but couldn't fix it. The pool, gym, and parking garage are shared with Springhill Suites. We never had a problem finding a parking spot but the spaces are tight so you need to be super careful (we were driving a Jeep Cherokee). Overall, we would probably stay here again if in the area.
