    Jacuzzi issues

    rating13 May 2026

Most aspects of this hotel were pleasant however the jacuzzi situation really lets it down. We arrived and it was cold and were very pleased the next morning when it was lovely and hot. It then went cold again and the technician came and fixed it. It then went far too hot to safely use and was turned down to a nice temperature, and then it went cold again. When I asked for it to be looked at I was told it was a ‘cold tub’ and none of the tubs in the hotel are heated and it’s the sun that makes it warm. This was not true as we had tested the other tubs which were hot compared to our cold tub, nothing to do with the sun! If the hotel had accepted that it was just broken and offered for us to use the spa instead we would have been happy with this however we were lied to about the heating of the tubs and made to feel stupid. Clearly not interested in making our stay the best it can be. So just be warned if you’re looking forward to a ‘hot tub’ experience you will be disappointed.

    Great Hotel

    rating01 Sept 2025

Great Hotel, very quiet and relaxing, not far from main town in Oia. Fabulous views and sunsets from the pool area. Everywhere kept clean every morning. The staff, particularly Nick & George were so lovely & very helpful if we needed anything or had questions about anything. Nice breakfast which you can have delivered to your room. Food & drinks at the pool bar/restaurant very good and reasonably priced compared to prices in town.

Never stay there if you do not what to be humiliated

    rating29 Aug 2025

I had a very negative experience at this hotel, caused primarily by the conduct of the manager, Aris. Although we never met him in person, his behavior through email was deeply unprofessional and unacceptable. When we tried to check in, the receptionist (a woman with short hair and glasses) repeatedly refused to process our check-in or allow us to contact management directly. Instead, she relied on instructions from Aris, who communicated only through email. This effectively prevented us from receiving proper assistance and left us feeling ignored and mistreated. To make matters worse, when we reported the issue to Booking.com, Aris responded by email in a way that came across as threatening. He suggested that we could be removed from the hotel simply for raising a complaint about the way we had been treated. This was not only intimidating but also highly distressing, especially given that I was traveling with my elderly mother. The fact that a hotel manager would refuse to speak directly with guests, allow staff to deny us basic check-in, and then send threatening emails instead of resolving the issue, is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. This experience left us feeling humiliated, unsafe, and unsupported. No guest should have to go through this. I strongly urge the management and Booking.com to take this matter seriously so that future travelers are not subjected to the same treatment.

It was an amazing experience! The location was perfect, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful – they even assisted me with choosing restaurants and booking tours. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely stay here again!

    Americans Should NOT Stay Here

    rating25 Jul 2025

After completing a trip to several European cities in which we had to pack up and change hotels every day or two, we would spend the last five nights relaxing at the Elea Resort. After we arrived, we were given Room 6 and finally unpacked our bags for a 5 day stay and then  headed out to walk through Oia town. But when we returned after dinner, it was clear that the air conditioning in Room 6 was not working and it was 33° Celsius or over 90 degrees. The front desk concluded the air conditionong in Room 6 was actually broken and needed a technician to fix it. Since no one could sleep there, they asked us to leave our stuff in Room 6 but to move to Room 2, a short walk outside, to sleep for the night and told us Room 6  would be fixed in the morning.  So we brought our pajamas and toothbrushes and spent the night separated from our stuff. The next morning we went back outside to Room 6 to dress in the heat and so headed out for a day in Thira. But when we returned late in the afternoon, no one had touched either room or called us or anything-- Room 6 was still without air conditioning and broiling  and Room 2 had not been cleaned from our prior night.  We went back to the front desk who said they had no idea when Room 6 would be fixed. We said we could't sleep  in one room with all our stuff a walk away in another and so they agreed we should just pack up and move our stuff down to Room 2 with the air conditioning working. It looked like we had lost 2 days but finally would not live out of a suitcase. The next day we took  a mid-morning trip ferry to Naxos after having our breakfast at Room 2 and all was finally well. But in the middle of of our afternoon in Naxos, an unidentified person from the hotel called me and said that the technician had indeed come and we needed to move back to Room 6.  I explained that we were Naxos with an evening ferry to return and had booked an excursion for my wife's birthday first thing the next day; we had been forced to live out of a suitcase and pack and repack for days; we  didn't have time nor want to do it yet again;  and this was no way to treat guests paying nearly $2000. The person calling just kept repeating that it wasn't their fault, offered no proposal or compensation or anything to try to assuage us but argued for half hour that she needed us out of Room 2.  When I asked to speak to her supervisor, she said I could not. When I asked for one to call us, she refused.  When I asked her name, she said she was not authorized to tell me.  She then hung up on me. I was in the middle of Naxos with my wife who by then was of course upset.  I immediately called back and someone else answered the phone and said the first person wasn't available and no one else would call me or give me their name. That call and treatment ruined our day in Naxos and left a problem for the next day which was my wife's birthday and on which I had arranged an excursion to celebrate the really special day.  But with no one having called me back or offered a solution or anything to accomodate a guest who they were badly inconveniencing and ruining their time,  I had no choice but to wake up early and spend my wife's birthday morning packing again  and moving again. We moved out stuff back to Room 6--(we never bothered to unpack again since we only had 2 days left) -  and left the key in the vacated Room 2 with the door open.  But as we were walking out front to meet our driver for the excursion, the previously unidentified  woman (who in fact had been on the phone and finally identified herself as Margarita) came up to me  with two young men to confront me,   as not leaving before she got the key to Room 2. It was clear she literally was physically confronting me with two young men and herself -- I was paying thousands of dollars to be shuttled back and forth without a room and now was being intimidated by the hotel. When I explained we had moved already by ourselves and I had left the key in the room so they would have it, she realized how wrong she had been but did nothing to apologize  for our treatment or her conduct and offered nothing for people who now had had three days ruined including being wrongly confronted by her and her guys.   But the worst  was still to come as I learned when we finally got past them and found our private driver for the excursion, he said that the woman at the desk when he went into ask for us had told him  he should not take us until ensuring she had gotten a key.  She had interfered my private driver unrelated to the hotel.  Of course, my wife watching and hearing all of  this started her special day in tears -- a trip and special birthday reduced to tears by mistreatment by a hotel when we had been the party so inconveniened! (We spent the last two days avoiding contact with people at the hotel-- can you imagine patmying for a hotel and having to avoid them.)  I couldn't even call a supervisor because no one would tell me the name of one.  No one has called or cared to this day. It is  not an exaggeration to say that the Elea Resort and Margarita ruined the last leg of our trip, collected thousands and did nothing.
