Location

This hotel is located on Kamari Beach, right on the beach promenade, some 50 m from the town centre and 100 m from the bus station. It lies in a tourist zone with plenty of hotels, restaurants and shops of all kinds. Guests will find ancient Thira about 3 km away. Santorini airport is approximately 4 km away.

Facility

2 single rooms and 33 double rooms are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge).     On our way home after a third stay in Hotel Sunshine. I reviewed the hotel extensively in 2023 after our last visit so I won’t write it all again.Just an update to say it is still amazing, the staff are still fab. It was lovely to see Demitris again, Yannis is now in the restaurant, and the new guy on the beach (Stef) is fab too.Can’t wait to come back again.

    What a amazing little gem we found.Firstly the Staff were fantastic so friendly and helpful.They organised our pickup and drop off ,a sunset sailing experience which was first class and great value.The Manager Jim was so helpful and more like a friend also the bar staff and waiters, the room maids, and lastly The young lady that run the breakfast buffet. Oh forgot the night shift receptionist who was waiting to welcome us with a a couple of bottles of water after a long flight delay. Rooms were really comfy and super clean , the only issue with our room is it had no view.The only down was we found that eating and drink were a little bit pricey that along the strip or road .paid 14euros for a cocktail and 10 in other bars a coffee 4.50 and next door a little bakery was 2.50. So it's wise to ship around for drink and food . I think if they were more competitive with their prices we might have eaten more at the the Hotel on the terrace with a stunning viewLastly found that if you went to play on their beach beds you lost the WiFi which was free it was just a few metres from the hotel. We will certainly go.back remember it's a 3 star but what we got was much more .Thank you Team sunshine Hotel.

    We have to leave tomorrow after a 10 night stay here 😔 we don't want to go home! We have had such a relaxing holiday, and we felt so welcome from the moment we walked in the door.The hotel is in the most amazing location, you sit eating breakfast about 10 steps away from the beach.Eva who prepares breakfast is great and so smiley, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is plentiful and varied. What more could you want?Razard, Dimitris and another gentleman who were on reception were fantastic, even when we arrived back from a day trip to Athens at 2am!! They booked us a great sunset catamaran trip, answered our very strange questions, made us feel so at ease. Genuinely lovely gentlemen. Gianis - the happiest man alive! There is nothing that we can say to sum up how much we loved him! He made us smile so much. Don't ever change.Stef - you are so funny, get your knee scanned! You made us feel so relaxed and you really went the extra mile for everyone.The bar manager - I'm so sorry we didn't get your name but your cocktails were divine and I hope you will be saying "Ta'ra for now" to every Scouser you meet! 😂The room was great, cleaned every day to a high standard. Beds comfy. I was given an extra blanket as I get cold easily.The only thing that was even mildly negative was the noise in reception in the evening if guests weren't courteous. All you need is a door to block out the sounds at the bottom of the stairs and it would be perfect but that in no way tarnished our experience.We always say we never go back to somewhere we've been before - but the staff here have captured our hearts and we will definitely be back.Thank you so much ❤️

    My friends and I (4) stayed at the Sunshine Hotel for 5 days. On arrival, the receptionist Rrezart greeted us with a smile and was very accommodating from the 1st day until we left. Always willing to assist, his customer service skills were excellent. We also received a good service from the Manager, Dimitris and Ionna (receptionist). The bar staff and catering staff were also very pleasant. For a 3 star hotel, it was really good. There is a dizesnke rooftop swimming pool and a bar, which was convenient. Room size is OK, unfortunately, the shower is way to small. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Breakfast is limited and not very hot, could be better. Apart from that we had a lovely time and would definitely return. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel for everything.

    This was our first time to Santorini . This was actually their first day open for the 2026 season after a rested winter. They were extremely welcoming to our group of 6. We came a few hours early and they got our rooms ready while they served us a glass of Juice. We checked in. The beds weren't arrange to our liking for the 2 married couples so they had maid service fix the beds right away so it was a king bed... how very nice of them. Breakfast was excellent, a lot of choices. Fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh lunch meats , yogurt, pastries, breads. Juice, coffee, cereals. Full of options. James was so kind he insisted he make me a Greek traditional Yogurt the way the Greeks eat it. Yogurt, almond, walnuts and drizzled so honey over it. Chia seeds optional. Excellent!!It was a great location to the airport, we were beachside...a lot of restaurants and shopping close by. Free public Parking is close by. You can drop your bags off then park it's really not bad..... late April. I can't say in the middle of season.
