A beautiful property with exceptional outdoor spaces

    rating11 Feb 2026

We enjoyed our stay at Orama. The hotel was well appointed with friendly staff and service. The pool and lounge area were the standout for this property, offering plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas and food/bar service throughout the day. Daytime music DJ would have added to the vibes. It is a short walk from the town centre, which was fine but if returning to Santorini, will definitely try a hotel cliffside and closer to shops and restaurants. They upgraded our room, which was lovely, with lots of space. Everything was immaculate and the toiletries were high quality. Although not travelling with a group, it would lend itself nicely to families or larger groups wanting to congregate.

    Orama Over-rated.

    rating10 Oct 2025

Breakfast selection and experience a far cry from 4* Poseidon Hotel in Mykonos one day prior. No fresh cut-up fruit or quality charcuterie. (Processed cheese slices!) Same with service. Cold and indifferent, no large plates when I got there at 8:30 and still none when I left at 10 am. The omelette fryer said a categoric "no", that she could not scramble up the omelette for the woman ahead of me. Is that 5* service? Loose outlet in my room, I had to hold the plug in for the kettle to boil. Rating matters in Greece. It's €10 per night hotel tax for 4* and €15 for 5*.

    Fantastic stay would recommend

Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended! We had a fantastic holiday staying at Orama hotel and spa. The staff were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful throughout our stay. The location is superb, easy to explore the island. Facilities were top-notch, pool and restaurant areas amazing. Our room was both stylish and well-equipped, making it a comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Would definitely stay here again.

    Soulless Shell

    rating22 Sept 2025

Stayed at Orama recently with family!Hotel itself was perfectly situated for an easy walk into FiraClinical & basic decor inside which seems to be the norm in Greece!Customer service practically none existent in this hotelSevere lack of Managerial Skills!!The whole place is run on a skeleton staff basis!Who were expected to work in every role! At breakfast At the pool bar etc etc!Don’t blame the staff at all !Overworked & under trained! Expected to run the hotel while the manager sits in his office out of the way! Breakfast as to be the worst I have every seen!No fresh fruit Minimal choice of cold badly cooked food!Never any plates cups or cutlery! No table service plates never cleared away!Pool towels as thin as tissue with fraying edges the lot need binning!Although the pool itself is nice with very comfy sunbeds there’s no atmosphere whatsoever no poolside service no background music! Nothing!Rooms are very spacious and kept clean! It’s such a shame this hotel is not better managed it could be amazing but needs serious attention to make it worthy of a five star rating!People are paying a high price to stay here an deserve better than 3 star offerings!

    Not the 5 star experience

    rating22 Sept 2025

We stayed here for a week bed and breakfast, although we enjoyed our stay I wouldn’t say this is a 5 star hotel. The pool areas are great, sun beds are very comfortable and we never struggled to get one regardless of what time we went to the pool. We were staying on the lower level so only used this pool but the others looked great too. The location is ideal and only a 5/10 minute walk into Fira and to the bus stop where we got the short bus journey to Oia and Kamari all for 2 euros. It’s a very peaceful hotel which is great for relaxing but not for those after a bit of atmosphere, the pool areas are completely silent with nothing going on at the hotel.Breakfast is poor especially for a 5 star, the cooked breakfast does not look appealing, the bacon was barely cooked. During our stay I only saw someone on the omelette station twice. Was very surprised at the lack of fresh fruit, there is a fruit bowl with some oranges in and that’s usually it. There are jugs of tinned fruit but nothing fresh. Coffee is from the machine, better coffees can be bought from the pool bar I recommend the iced coffee. Cutlery and mugs often ran out and had to ask staff to replace. There were robes and slippers in the room when we first checked in but after using them once, we noticed they were taken away to be washed but never replaced which is a shame. We had a very late flight on our final day so asked a few days beforehand to see if we could keep the room for longer, we were told to try again on the morning of departure. We were then told the hotel was fully booked so must check out at 11, which I understand can’t be helped although I did notice rooms still available to book online. We were told we could not use the spa facilities but were able to shower downstairs however both showers did not work properly and only had cold water which is not what’s expected of a 5 star. Staff are ok, some more friendly than others but we found they weren’t very attentive or welcoming as we were never greeted at reception or at breakfast.Overall, it’s a nice hotel aesthetically pleasing with great pool areas but not somewhere I’d rush back too if visiting Fira again as feel it does not live up to its star rating and price.
