    Our group arrived in September for 4 nights. Rooms ok, but we had to go outside to travel to "restaurant", it was cold and windy. The staff were not geared up for our visit. The breakfast was ok but the evening dinner was mostly awful and slow. The "restaurant" had tarpaulin over it which was noisy due to the wind and not good surroundings either, it was an outside restaurant really. It was miles away from civilisation and simply nothing to do. We travelled around the island each day apart from one and we were so bored that most of us and stayed in our rooms. Not good at all. It was too cold to use the pool, which wasn't clean anyway.

    Isolated, soulless, smelly bathroom, lacking the facilities as shown on the website. Breakfast consisted of stale bread, cold cooked food, cheap fruit. No other meals were available. The bar opened up on the day we left.The pool furniture was stained and fifthy. This is not a 4* hotel.

    Bad place, no ventilation in rooms, totally out of city, bad smell coming from rooms and toilets and also from air conditioner, no one to take care even after repeated complaints, overall a bad experience

    The view is awesome. The room looked ok , but on 4 night stay had to call maintenance twice. No restaurant as advertised. Breakfast food not fresh and feel like you are eating in a storage shed, with old furniture pile up. Bar was not staffed, if you wanted a drink you had to hunt down a member of staff. Need your own transport as it was so remote. Advertised as 4 star, it would be hard pressed to scrap by with 2 stars

    We feel blessed to have found this lovely little hotel right around on the other side but in sight of busy bustling Fira but offering peace and quiet and tranquility !! We walked to the little local shop and small rural style restaurant Capt Dimitries - the sunset views are lovely but an extra 15 minutes walk gets to to the landmark lighthouse the most popular place for sunsets - having a bike 4 wheel bike or small car would be an advantage but there is a limited bus service and ample taxis for 35e fixed 1/2 hour trip - the main townFira is beautiful with all the blue and white and dazzling water that you have seen or heard about from afar- the rooms here at Cavo Santo are gorgeous as is the pool the views and the buffet breakfast - 10 points to the excellent friendly English speaking staff especially the beautiful Fotini who helped us with advice taxis booking for the sunset cruise and lots more , even real black tea bags - a small but important feature is that there are fans in the w/c which in our travels are sadly missing !! We leave today after our boat cruise but can’t wait to get back to our own piece of paradise where there may be only a dozen folk around the pool in busy times - there are several nice beaches close by too !!
