  Stayed here 13-18 May.Was recommended to us by friends who’d stayed here last year and it lived up to their amazing reviews. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to Santorini and stay here again.Only improvement I could offer to our room was some hooks on toilet wall (behind door in wasted space) for towels, there wasn’t anywhere really to hang them to dry- but they were changed daily so no huge issue.   A Stella time in Santorini… Wow.

  My dear friend Lucy and I have just returned from our first visit to Santorini. It won’t be our last. To say that we thought the island was as beautiful and stunning as we’d heard is an understatement. Wow. The sunsets, sunrises, the views… breathtaking and hard to top. But what made our time in Santorini so special was our stay at the Stella Rocca A Mare Hotel…During our week’s stay the wonderful and amazing hotel staff; our friends Costas, Ery, Mary, Dory, Emiliano, the very sweet and kind room maids (incredible attention to detail and so lovely), the breakfast chefs (delicious!), the entire team and hotel manager, Stavroula. You turned our experience of an outrageously beautiful island into an unforgettable holiday. We know you couldn’t arrange the sunsets, the sunshine or the views over the magical Caldera from the hotel… but you did everything you could to ensure our time in Santorini was so much more. Thank you all for leaving Lucy and I with lifelong memories. We’ll see you again. That’s a promise.   Sublime is understatement

  We recently stayed 4 nights in the honeymoon suite (#13) at this fantastic property. To say that the whole experience was sublime is an understatement. The setting is simply stunning and the room very large with a comfortable bed and well appointed. The outdoor hot tub overlooking the caldera made it an unforgettable experience. Plenty of outdoor sitting space too.The staff was very friendly and helpful especially as they dealt with us (and apparently many others) making the rookie mistake of locking ourselves out of our room on our first day as we’re in the hot tub and the (only) key still in the room!Kudos also go to those who carried our heavy luggage to and from the airport taxi to the very hilly area where the property is located. (As a side note, this property- and Santorini in general - is not suitable for anyone with any kind of mobility challenge. Lots of hills, narrow steps and uneven terrain everywhere).The only “nits” I could offer is that the breakfast options are relatively limited especially for anyone who doesn’t like eggs. Also, the room is very dark, particularly in the bathroom/sink area (which is inconveniently located far away from the toilet area) and the nearby shower basically unusable without flooding the area. Fortunately, there is another shower in the indoor hot tub area! The room could also use more hooks for hanging towels and bathing suits.This is probably the most stunning place we have ever stayed at and hope to go back someday. In the meantime, we highly recommend it to others for an unforgettable experience!
