We were accommodated here overnight by Olympic holidays as needed to fly back next day . Having had 2 glorious weeks at Eri Hotel Paros , we were upset to be placed at Argo Hotel . Web site shows lovely rooms , pool etc . Must be old pics . Our room was dark and dingy overlooked by bar . Two beds , one small double and single , squeezed into a shoe box . So falling over 2 large cases and hand luggage . Bathroom smelt of damp . No window . Extractor fan noisy , dirty and rusty . Small shower tray with bad fitting curtain , allowing floor to flood . So toilet not useable after use or get wet feet . Very disappointing breakfast in a dim room , allowing cats to roam and jump up at tables . Guests don't help by feeding them . I am not anti pets but not around food . Sun beds disgusting . Dirty , stained and ripped . Pool was clean but had dangerously loose steps into water . If you are poor mobility , then you have a hill walk down and back to hotel after meals . Same as steps around the hotel . So not good for poor mobility . Should state in brochure . Glad only one night but that was one too many . Bad choice Olympic holiday , whoever graded this one . So not all as web site makes you believe .

spent 10 days here had fantastic views of the sea from our balcony. room was spacious and clean. breakfast was a buffet continental style. Cereal, juice, breads, yoghurt, cold meats, cheese, selection of teas and coffee. staff were helpful and friendly. Pool was excellent with comfortable sunbeds. pool bar, closed at 6pm. only 5 min walk to nearest supermarket and restaurants. another 2-3 mins to the beach. highly recommend this hotel. Only thing i would say is that if you have problems walking might not be best place as it is up a short steep hill.

    First Stop on Island Hopping

    rating20 Sept 2016

Had booked Santorini-Ios-Naxos-Santorini Isalnd hopping.Despite frequent requests to TC in the UK had been unable to gain any idea where we might be staying,we are a couple 75&76 so location can be important although we are both pretty fit. This place is at the top of a very steep hill which was quite hard work.To be fair to the Rep in Kamari she did say she would try to relocate for the last 3 days on our return to Santorini, she did, at the Sigalas, see seperate review. The Argo was a perfectly acceptable Hotel apart from the location. The other drawback was the price of a "mythos" E4.50 for a small bottle!consequently only had one drink there.

Bad location and a sad room

    rating11 Sept 2016

We stayed here only overnight before taken to port to Naxos. The room was old, shower broken. Breakfast modest and horrific coffee (sorry ladies!). Balcony was OK. I could not imagine to choose this place on the top of hill, due to a long distance to the center and beach. Absolutely not for elderly people and families.

    Avarage

    rating06 Sept 2016

The location is quite good, distances to the beach, bus stop, super marked or resturant or walkable in 5-10min. Staff is friendly and very helpful. We had some problem with the shower upon arrival but this very taken care off right away when we told the staff. Bed and rooms are avarage, most of the balconys have nice views though. The only negative thing i would say about the stay would be the breakfast, sweaty cheese, and not much to choose between. But all in all we enjoyed our stay here.
