  Good stay in the middle of everything

  Could have been a bad experience, but ended up being a great one. Went to Chicago for 3 days with my best friend and had booked a room with two queen beds. When we arrived they said that our booking had been changed to a room with a king size bed. Even if we are good friends we didn't wanna share bed so we asked them to change it back to what we booked. Were no rooms available, but they solved it the best way possible, we got another room at no cost. Location is super, close to everything and breakfast were way better than we expected it to be.   Great stay.. but maybe had a ghost visit?!?

  Located just steps away from Michigan Ave in the heart of Chicago. Clean room and free continental breakfast was a bonus. We had an interesting second night though and I'm curious to know if anyone else who has stayed there has had a paranormal visit.. We stayed in room 609. It was at the end of the hall and we had to key in through two doors.. two rooms were located in this little area. The first door from the hallway to enter in was a dark wood where every other hotel door on the floor was white. Between 12:30 and 2am, the door from the hall to the little entry way to our room and room 610 kept opening and closing. My husband looked through the peephole to see who was making the noise and there was no one there. He could see the door swing open and then close. It was a keyed entry so it was latched so no way a breeze could've opened it. It did this about 40 times during that time frame and then stopped. I've never had an experience like this before and I've even stayed at the Congress Hotel in Chicago which is considered the most haunted hotel in the city! Other than that experience, staff was friendly, hotel was clean, and location was very convenient!   Worst hotel stay ever.

  Extremely small room. Booked the riverview king, which got downgraded to king by corporate when I mentioned the conference to be attended. Conference rate greater than the advertised Hampton rate for the upgraded room. The room we got (311) had a double bed, with only a bedside dresser. Was not offered an upgraded room at check in, even though one was available. They acknowledged my Lifetime Diamond status at check in. The next day, we were offered the riverside king, but had already unpacked and involved with the conference. We will never stay there again.   A good inexpensive hotel for a short stay

  A clean if somewhat small room and adequate facilities. The included breakfast had the standard hotel things like eggs, potatoes, some baked goods, cereal, juices and coffee. The location is excellent as there are many restaurants close by.   Great Customer Service Agent YOLO

  This review is mainly about my encounter with the sweetest, most generous front desk agent I’ve ever encountered in a while YOLO(yes, that’s her actual name). Hotel is really nice and dead center of downtown Chicago; which made all the hot spots walkable. Free breakfast is top tier, the breakfast lounge is very clean and nice. YOLO is a breath a fresh air, she went above and beyond by making sure my son and I were comfortable and that we enjoyed our stay.
