Location

The 5 villas are situated within the preserved settlement of Emporio Village (Kastelli). Emporio Village is 11 km from Firá, while Athinios, Santorini’s port, lies 5 km from the property. The archaeological site of Akrotiri is about 5 km away and Perivolos, one of the best beaches of Santorini Island, is 2 km from the villas. Santorini Island’s most famous beaches, Agios Georgios, Lichada and the Red Beach, are also very close to the establishment. Santorini Thira National Airport is 7 km from the property.

Facility

These villas were built in 1900 The hotel has a lift and features 18 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available the hotel include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air.     Wonderful, authentic, Timedrops

    Timedrops was amazing. Authentic and full of character in a little village away from the hustle and bustle of the main towns and cruise ship visitors. The rooms are set within the castle area of Emporeio so you get a real feel of what the traditional places are like. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. The pool was refreshing and sparkling. Nicholas, the manager, is very helpful and booked our transfers, boat trip and rental car for us. The steps are quite steep so elderly, very young or less able may struggle. We had a fantastic time and would recommend Timedrops to anyone wanting a quiet, comfortable stay away from the main towns

    Beautiful place to stay

    What a stunning villa we had, this place a is a hidden treasure and such a lovely area to explore with little hidden restaurants / shops a small walk away. The owner checked us in with a very helpful friendly explanation of the villa and things to do in the area. He also upgraded us to the largest villa, gave us a very welcomed cold drink on arrival. Hands down the best place to stay for some much needed R&R. Felt very spoiled.

    We spent 1 week in this beautiful village back in October. The Villa had a beautiful private pool, was well located within a small village, had private parking, and a wonderful host (Nikos). We enjoyed being away from the crowds of Oia/ Fira, and instead enjoy the proximity to local wine villages and the stunning volcanic beaches of Perissa. The Lidl supermarket was 10min drive away, we loved our stay and had a wonderful holiday.

    Nice apartments, historic building, part of a castle complex

    Nice apartment with a lovely terrace and plunge pool. Plenty big enough for the four of us. Only complaint is some things didn't work such as the kettle and one of the bedside lights. So they hadn't been checked recently. The hot water was also a bit hit and miss. Sometimes there wasn't any for a day or two. The apartments were nicely designed and in part of the old castle complex. It was lovely exploring there in the evening. Lots of narrow windy alleyways. 10 mins from shops. The road to the site is very narrow and the complex is best avoided if you struggle on steep steps.

    Lovely villas in the wrong area.

    We stayed at Timedrops for 4 nights. The villa was lovely and clean. We had water, juice and waffles left for us. Niko was very friendly and helpful though check in was lengthy. The pool was absolutely freezing and had flies and bugs floating in it. Could do with a net so guests can fish them out! We were unable to use it.It’s a shame where these villas are situated as the area of Emporio is not very nice. Lots of derelict unused buildings,streets covered in dog and cat poo. After dark we stayed in as didnt feel safe. Dogs coming at you barking and growling. Local restaurants not nice. We walked to Perissa beach(took around 30 mins). Lovely beaches with lots of food choices. Take the bus to Fira, book a table and watch the beautiful sunset. If we ever visit this island again we would stay in Fira or Oia.
