Location

This hotel is located on a small hill overlooking the famous Koukounaries Bay and Maratha beach, at the southwest corner of Skiathos Island, offering splendid views of this magnificent area. Koukounaries beach - only 12 km from Skiathos town - is the most famous beach on Skiathos and one of the most famous beaches in Europe. It is known as Golden Sands since the sand there is extremely fine and shines under the summer sun. Visitors can also enjoy the tranquil surroundings of the forest of Koukounaries, which reaches down to the sea.

Facility

Guests receive a warm welcome at the hotel. 9 suites, 3 single rooms and 246 double rooms are available. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing.     Again and again and again and again!!!Every year there is no summer without Skiathos Palace at the beginning of summer and at the end!!!Amazing weekend at the best of the best hotel in the world!!! Till next time at the end of August!!!

    Very good hotel, would recommend you go very nice Staff very friendly and helpful. George, the hotel reception manager was very kind and helpful, Demetra the guest relations manager cannot be faulted she was excellent, Nektarina hotel reception very good and kind, and special thanks to Apostolia for helping us during our stay.

    Booked last minute to stay here for 5 nights. Travelled about 30 mins from the airport, lots of steps and a super steep slope,not great for someone with mobility issues. Room had decent, with a lovely view. Had a kettle and tea cups in the room with no tea or coffee or milk, not sure what the point of that is? Free pool/beach towels for use. No iron available in the hotel, take a travel iron or it's 2 euro per item to get ironed and the hotels needs 24 hour notice. The local bus soon gets tiresome, but can't do without it. Breakfast lovely. Would stay again

    Ended up here after our last minute booking at another hotel was messed up but we had paid less than for this hotel so a bargain. It is a lovely hotel with spectacular views.Pros- friendly helpful staff, special mention for george behind the bar and yiannis the beach van driver.Clean, good selection of food. Bar food really good. Rooms nice, fridge & kettle. Pool towels provided. Free hotel buses to skiathos town and beaches. Public Bus stop across road. Good and cheap tickets. Plenty of comfy sunbeds. Lovely gardens. Cons - no shops or restaurants nearby about a 15 min walk, steep hill to hotel, no lifts, food not hot enough, drinks are expensive inc soft drinks and water. Magnum ice creams 5 euros!!!! Tourist tax is 15 euros per night. Had an issue with sink plug which took 3 requests to rectify but was given goodwill gestures which made up for the issue. Some road noise as not double glazed. Lacks eve entertainment. Greek music 1/2 nights tho. Pool v deep 14 ft one end and it was cold so i didnt use it. Lots of kids in as half term started.Would i stay again? Not sure but if the price was good perhaps. Had a lovely wine tasting eve at parissi although it worked out expensive with taxis etc and another eve a meal in skiathos town.Also went to big bad wolf nice meal and mandraki village hotel for a meal and entertainment which was lovely. This is where we were supposed to stay. They have happy hour on cocktails 5-7pm. Supermarkets well stocked. Water 2.80 euros for 6 large bottles vs hotel 1 euro for a small one!Koukanaries beach v expensive 40/50 euros for beds, drinks and food pricey too. Coffees 5 euros, small beer 7! Take plenty of spending money! We found Skiathos much more expensive than Gran Canaria where we usually go but it was lovely.

    Wonderful stay at Skiathos Palace

    Returning for the third time to stay at this lovely hotel. We brought our family this time. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel food is delicious and there is so much choice! The apple pie at breakfast was the best! Our grandchildren loved the food just as much as we did. There is a good swimming pool which we all enjoyed. The views from the hotel are stunning. The staff are friendly and so helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. We have already booked for the family trip next year. Thank you Skiathos Palace hotel for making our holiday so special.
