  Great stay in a lovely and cosy hotel. Right on the beach and great food options that were included in my package. Everything always tasted fresh and there was a welcoming atmosphere from every single staff member. In particular Trifonas and Akis were very helpful and genuine - they were always happy to help and made the stay extra special!   Waste of money, look for another hotel.

  We arrived at the hotel as a family of 13 adults and 6 children for 4 nights. We booked 8 rooms. 2 rooms had a bad smell of sewage, when we complained about the smell they poured some substance into the drain pipes in the bathroom. It didn't help. We asked to move rooms and there was no response. On the reservation, the hotel was described as new. Not at all, maybe give a small extra for a few of their rooms. Also, don't count on free internet, it simply doesn't work properly and disconnects every few minutes. Not worth the price. Our housekeeping team attended your rooms daily, and in fact more than once per day, as we do for all of our guests. If there had been a genuine technical issue such as sewage odor, it would certainly have been noticed and reported by the guests staying in those rooms before or after your stay – which was not the case. Nevertheless, our staff immediately tried to assist you, although no further room change was possible at that specific time due to very high occupancy.Regarding the description of our hotel as “new”: we are fully transparent about our facilities. our rooms have recently been renovated, which is clearly mentioned in our listings!As for the Wi-Fi, the vast majority of our guests are satisfied with the speed and stability of the connection. Temporary interruptions can happen depending on usage or device connection, but they are not the norm.We regret that you did not have the experience you hoped for, but we believe your comments do not reflect the service standards that so many of our guests appreciate and praise.Kind regards,George VegoudakisFront Office Manager

  Organised a Scam Taxi

  Our stay at the hotel was generally good, but the airport taxi they arranged for us was a significant issue. The driver refused to use the meter and quoted a fixed price. When we declined and insisted on the meter, he stopped the car until we reiterated our stance, at which point he agreed. Disappointingly, upon reaching the airport, he invented additional 'fees' and aggressively refused to allow us to exit the taxi until these were paid. It's a shame, as the hotel was otherwise enjoyable, but they urgently need to vet their transport partners more carefully to avoid guests being subjected to such tactics Golden Star Team, Other at Golden Star City Resort, responded to this review Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.We’re pleased to hear that your overall stay at our hotel was enjoyable. We are always happy to assist with calling a taxi for our guests as a courtesy, but that does not make us responsible for their conduct.As for your stay, we did notice your high level of involvement with our reception team, asking for assistance multiple times daily — including extensive efforts to secure a car rental on your behalf. Despite presenting you with excellent vehicle options (even luxury ones at unbeatable prices), and after the rental company made two separate trips to accommodate your requests, you ultimately declined both. While we are always happy to go the extra mile for our guests, your actions unfortunately showed a lack of respect for the time and effort of both our team and the external providers.We truly value constructive feedback and always strive to improve, but it's important to separate the hotel experience from personal frustrations caused by unrelated services.   Golden Star Resort, Perea Beach – Great Comfort and Food, But an Average Beach

  Golden Star Resort in Perea is a wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for excellent service, delicious food, and great coffee. The hotel offers modern, comfortable conditions that make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. The staff is friendly and attentive, and everything is very clean and well-maintained.The only downside is the beach itself—it’s not the most impressive compared to other spots in Greece. While it’s nice enough for a walk or a quick swim, it doesn’t have the crystal-clear waters or scenic views you might expect from more famous Greek beaches.Still, the overall experience at the resort makes it a great choice, especially if you’re looking for comfort and good food close to Thessaloniki.   We spent Easter at Golden City Resort in Perea with my sister, and once again, everything was amazing. The reception and staff were incredibly kind and helpful, even making room for us to stay an extra night. Everything was spotless, the atmosphere was warm, and the hospitality truly stood out.
