Location

The hotel is situated on Morne Rouge Bay, an 800 metre-long exquisitely beautiful white sand beach, lined with almond trees. It is not much further to Grand Anse beach. The pretty capital city of St. George is only a 10-minute drive away and it's only around 6 km to Point Salines Airport.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 20 apartments located in two 3-storey buildings. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. A fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and tea/coffee station, as well as a complete set of utensils, is a standard feature. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. The resort has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The sports and entertainment facilities at the resort ensure that guests have plenty of activities to choose from during their stay. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the resort, including snorkelling, a gym, billiards and darts. Leisure facilities include live music, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

The dining area includes a non-smoking restaurant and a bar. Catering options include half board, full board and all-inclusive. A continental breakfast guarantees a great start to the day. Lunch is served as a buffet, and guests can choose between à la carte and a set menu for dinner. Staff are also happy to provide children's meals.

    Enjoyed staying there for 2 weeks. Our 2 bedroom unit #6 on the 2nd floor was nicely furnished, exceptionally clean, well equipped with everything we needed, including a spacious kitchen, smart TV, and small outside patio to enjoy a peek of the distant water view. (The building where all rooms are located is set back behind a bar and restaurant building, so just be aware that you won’t have any view of the beach itself.)The Gem management and entire staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Daily housekeeping was provided and the room was always kept immaculately clean with fresh flowers and towels. Our housekeeper was always delightful, friendly and attentive to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Being able use the beach, pool, bar and restaurant of the adjacent Kalinago hotel was very much appreciated, as they had the nicest beach area and restrooms. Beach chairs were occasionally available, however most were broken, torn or ‘reserved’ early by guests. The beach was beautiful when we could find chairs to enjoy it. The hotel restaurant / bar had excellent food although we didn’t use it much as the menu was quite limited. We enjoyed the Saturday BBQ on the beach at the adjacent Kalinago hotel, complete with lobster, reggae music and a bonfire, although we felt it was too expensive. We also enjoyed two nearby restaurants which were within walking distance. (Don’t miss the barracuda tacos at LaPlywood!).

    The resort is actually a colonial era property located on a beautiful Moune Rouge beach, Buyer beware! Room 15 is a HORRIBLE WRECK! The beds as well as bedding are old and worn out, the lightbulbs are so dim to near burnt out, three black out curtain panel, what happened to the fourth panel, dresser drawers that do not close, the shower, well some kind of unfinished stall! The management should really put some money into capital improvements. The beach chairs are just as broken-down as the rooms!

    The hotel is right across from the more private Mourne rouge beach and you have a choice of restaurants. We had a garden view, fully equipped apartment that was spacious and included a balcony with partial view of the sea. Our garden view included some neighboring goats which was pleasant to watch them feed on grass. The best thing about this venue is how accommodating, pleasant, and friendly the staff is. Ms Julia, Ms Kathleen, and the other woman who's name I can't recall, thank you for looking after our requested needs. God bless you and your families 🙏🏽.

    Lovely staff especially Lauren my housekeeper. Also the staff in the restaurant and the chef and the manager. Food was lovely and the beach was amazing. Breakfast was beautiful too. I could go on!!! Only downfall is the outdated furniture, it really needs updating. But other than that it’s a lovely place to stay.

    Needs a lot updated and repairs. Nothing seems to be working in the villa. We had called several times about equipment not working. The only nice thing about the resort ocean review is that the cleaners were family and staff. The resort is dar from town and the up to the resort is very bad.
