    Pleasant hotel

A small hotel, friendly staff, well maintained, quiet, easy access to beach and shops. Enjoyable stay and would go back.

Ideal if you like footie, beer, kids & tattoos

Not the best of hotels sadly, the staff were very good but sadly for us that is where it ended. I was meeting up with my friends flying in from Australia and we had rooms next door to one another. The hotel reception was ok and the walk down to the rooms past a nice good and jungly plants, so far so good. But too many noisy kids or older couples just smoking outside their rooms. Not pleasant. No laundry service available and although the bathrooms had a drying line nothing dried there so people hung their smalls on the bush outside the room lol! Breakfast was included but it nothing was really explained or on the menu. It wasn’t until the penultimate day we learnt they had pastries, fruit and yoghurt up on the counter. Breakfast was served in the Fat Buddha bar with large tv screens playing footie. Not a tranquil place. In fact the noise was horrendous at night. Don’t stay here unless you’re a party animal and like footie, beer and a smoke.

Not like it use to be.

We have been going to the Baleka for around ten years it was always value for money, this time not so much. There is no breakfast any more as the restaurant is not owned by the hotel. Our shower was a pitiful dribble of water and we had no hot water for a couple of days. We also had construction going on in the room above us for a number of days till 6pm, we were offered no compensation we were paying $115 per night. On a positive note they have added a great little hairdresser and massage facility that I really enjoyed. Great budget option for a few nights

This is my 6th visit to this hotel and I can see it’s undergone some refurbishing. It’s definitely a good clean and tidy room and showing signs of being looked after and improved. No breakfast with the room thru Agoda this trip but plenty of options within a stones throw. I was impressed and would not hesitate to stay again and recommend to friends in the future Info BalekaResort, General Manager at Baleka Resort & Spa, responded to this review Dear Ms Melissa,Warmest greetings from Baleka Resort and Spa It was our pleasure to have you stayed at Baleka Resort and Spa, Bali recently. Great lagoon pool.

    rating15 Feb 2025

The best part of this hotel is the lagoon pool, especially for this of us with dodgy knees, much easier to walk in than to climb a ladder. We had room 3112 down stairs, lagoon access ,tucked away in a corner away from the pool. The only plus to this is that we didn’t experience any passing foot traffic. The down side we had a massive drain in the garden bed right at the front of our room, so with it being wet season it stank +++. No chance of leaving the door open for dress air, the other down side the inside bathroom drain was also strong in sewer type smell. Probably because it was close to the other drain outside. The room was missing a side table so our phone etc was left in the floor alongside the bed. Also basics like face washers , soap dish were non existent. The shower is over the bath and once again dodgy knees may have some issues, you need to be very careful and have a towel on the ground as the tiles are polished and very slippery. The bed was very comfortable with two king singles and a topper placed over the top.Breakfast was an additional cost to our room and NO I would not do this again, the restaurant is dark and poorly ventilated. Small buffet of fresh fruit and local foods in Bain Marie which were not kept warm, hence cold before you even contemplated eating it. Staff in the hotel and restaurant were delightful and super friendly.Would I stay here again, NO. Price has since gone up again and I don’t feel its value for money.
